Amorphous Androgynous - Alice In Ultraland

The next album Brian Dougans and Garry Cobain - The Future
Sound Of London - are releasing is another Amorphous
Androgynous album, thus making AA an on-going project. The
album will probably contain more tracks from The Isness
sessions, along with some newer material in that style. The
tracks are also intended to be in a slightly darker, funkier
vein, possibly less playful than some of The Isness. Some
titles floating around include The Prophet, Billy The Onion,
Air, The Peppermint Tree, Yes My Brother, Wendover Woods,
Marylebone Road, Seasons, Drifter, Ultraland, Kara Vozzi,
Bagwan, Pimptek, Krishna, Colours, Willow Tree and Open
Later. The Prophet, Billy The Onion and Air were previewed
on the SixMix show in May 2004. Also in the show was a
longer, more 'finished' version of 'Yes My Brother', which
may now be one of those three tracks. Alice In Ultraland was
one of the prospective titles for The Isness in the late
'90s. The album will be out in the second half of 2004.

For those interested. :)

Hmmm..... I was reading this the other day, I for one always
look forward to hearing what the guys have been up to.
Radio 6 broadcast an AA live set under a week ago, I'm
pissed off that I missed it. Looking forward to this.

Ugh. I can appreciate the isness on an artistic,
intellectual level - it's quite well composed and produced -
but it makes me feel icky, like listening to a toothless old
hippy with brain damage. I hope the new stuff is so dark and
funky it's like James Brown got bit by a vampire.

haven't heart that BBC radio airing yet, but it's surely
good news to me!! ^^
(which is rather rare at the moment... there are more
terrible news than anything else)

i already like the title, "Alice In Ultraland".

While, I'm glad to see that there still releasing material
and quite possibly developing AA into something good, I want
some new damn FSOL.

synth sounds. Great stuff

Proper 'FSOL' album to follow this. Last thing I heard it
won't be for a while yet, but expect some exciting things.

and that's exactly what it is. but the album doesn't sound
too exciting. i have no idea where Cobain/Dougans are going
really.
