[REFLEX] from Western Canada on 2001-05-02 00:53 [#00005349]

I would like to get some stuff going... music of course. And
I would like to know what equipment I should purchase? If
you could let me know of site and info on certain equipment.
Thanks.

Tell you what, save yourself some trouble and terrible
sounds and make sure you dont get into midi, Unless of
course you want to buy an expensive sampler, mmmm, sampler

[REFLEX] from Western Canada on 2001-05-02 15:04 [#00005403]

no I don['t want anything annoying...... really no midi
stuff. I doubt it. Samplers.. yes. I want to be able to make
my own shite.

al this crappy sofware stuff............

any one have experience with a Roland JP8000?

they look really good but are expensive so i dont know
wether to buy one

gotmeth? on 2001-05-02 19:32 [#00005420]

i have a JP8000. PHATTY! one of my fav. synths, next to
the good ole Nord

hevquip from a crabs carriage on 2001-05-02 20:57 [#00005430]

dont buy software, it's too easy to use and a lot of people
make crap with it.

if you like drums go with a TR 707. it has no effects, but
it has individual outs for each sound for that stuff. i'm
going to pick one up after my HR 16 comes in.

i'm having trouble as to what kind of analogue synths to
get. i'd like to get an RS-09, and then another keyboard.
what keyboards do you guys suggest? maybe a TG33,
D-50,SY-22?

[REFLEX] from Western Canada on 2001-05-02 22:23 [#00005437]

Hmmmm Well.... I need to find a place to buy this shit in my
city. I know there are places here......just need to get my
hands on them. Hmm.

Quoth from Lincoln on 2001-05-02 22:40 [#00005438]

hevquip & poe... I have experience on a JP-8000 and all of
the Jupiters. Currently I own 1 jp and a juno 60 w/a tape
DCB controller hooked up to it. PHAT analog sounds. FRUITY
LOOPS BLOWS ASS. it's for those people who don't want to
take the time in creating it themselves and rather just fill
in dots. I would not suggest it.

[REFLEX] from Western Canada on 2001-05-02 23:03 [#00005441]

well ive heard some nice stuff been done on fruity loops and
acid and such.. but I want to go for the hard equipment...
like the synths.. and so on.

Edward from home sweet home on 2001-05-03 00:37 [#00005443]

As I remember there was also r ubber duck or ducky
something like that, anyone use this one?

od from australia on 2001-05-03 05:50 [#00005472]

yeah fruity is quite good
it seems cheesy and stuff at first but with a little
practise you can make some truly wired music on it. also get
drumsynth to make weird sounds.

Wizard MaC from Amersfoort on 2001-10-02 09:46 [#00038345]

FRUITY SAVES ALL OF US
yeah it rules
I used to use trackers but I can make my song sound much
greater in FL

reaktor is great
coagula is great
audiomulch is great
rebirth is great

hevquip from a giraffes throat on 2001-10-02 16:48 [#00038390]

anyone have experience with a dr 550 mkII drum machine? a
guy is willing to give it to me i give him my mmt-8
sequencer.

Geonime from United Kingdom on 2001-10-02 16:50 [#00038391]

Fruityloops can create excellent sounds if you just try for
long enough - I use it for creating tunes, not drum loops.
