I have the full game but i'm not installing it until I get

love it! ONS-Torlan I love you.

Yeh how do you make/convert ogg files?

offline JAroen from the pineal gland on 2004-05-09 13:20 [#01179721]

www.google.com

-> ogg convert

i think every major mp3/audio encoder can do the trick

i might be wrong, that was before the Big Harddrive Crash, i
had tons of apps and stuff on here so i dont exactly know
how i did it

I like it a lot, I still prefer older games like doom 2 and
quake (the walking speed is faster and the games are more
intnese, nowadays they slow everything down and make it more
about waht weapon you're using)

isn't there a speed-setting in UT2004? I know there is in
the original UT, so there ought to be. The original UT is
great fun. Great game!

yes but it speed everything about the game speeds up,
including the physics, it's hard to explain, but it has a
lot do do with the simplicity of the code in old games.

Agreed - I still play the original quake online all the
time. They don't make games like that any more though, so if
you want to get something new you have to settle for the
slower, more tactically oriented games. I think this is the
best one in a while.

Isn't DOOM 3 going to be like Quake?
I mean atleast Carmack wants it to be very simple n stuff.

Possible, but it'll still lose some of the old-style
attraction because of the graphics.

Yeah, I play UT2K4. Currently, I'm on the demo only, since
I need to get my friends game discs to install on my PC,
then No-CD patch it. I will be playing it now and then for
sure, we'll have to get a server going sometime or a chat
channel to meet.

I bought it cause I wanted to play online - you can't do
that with a warezed version.

offline revpersona from Plainfield (United States) on 2004-05-09 21:14 [#01180106]
Points: 3167 Status: Lurker

Oh it's not warezed, just patching the game with a no-cd
patch. The original UT had no-CD patches as well. It works
just fine, online and everything.

offline revpersona from Plainfield (United States) on 2004-05-21 10:32 [#01200262]

OK, I just got the game installed yesterday and it's no-CD
patched and everything (the new patch automatically has the
no cd patch in its code, so take that damn game disc out),
so I'm ready to get some games going. I need a lot of
practice. I use to be good at the original UT years ago,
but too much time has past and I need to regain it all back.
So if anyone is going to host some games or will be playing
in the near future: post the IP and/or give me your name so
I can add you to buddies.

ho'k. Will post IPs in future :)
