Is it worth it? I haven't tried it. Tea can be very dangerous! My mom makes best poppy cakes that put me asleep after a good meal, and it is a part of canadian national heritage. It is easy to find, and there is lot of it. |

You don't get it mappatazee !! Wild poppies are part of Canadian WWII pride, and they do not grow in Canada!! It would be a bit harder to grow, but I can try to obtain it. So far I have only got headaches from those wild poppies. I can easily grow these edible poppies, but I guess it is illegal or something. I have to check the law. Point is to make it perfectly legal and functional. |

There's huge differences between the two. First, Heroin- or diacetylmorphine- is a semi-synthetic opiate (meaning only that it's starting reagent, morphine, is naturally occuring) which is morphine that has been reacted with acetic anhydride to produce the acetate functional groups on the 3 and 6 position. What's the point of all that. It's got a sort of bitter vinegary taste to it but, then again, all opiates are bitter. Ways to tell the difference. Black tar will run down aluminum foil when smoke and you'll end up chasing it. It has a pretty funny taste to it. It's bitter but a little sweet like apple vinegar because of the acetyl groups and because the black that you see (heroin is white) is the cut. The cut is lactose. They stick it in a pot with about 85 to 90% lactose and cook it until it turns to liquid and blackens. Opium is also white but everytime I've seen it, save you the times my friend grew his own, it was black. Here the producer has taken the whole plant and stewed it in a pot, strained the plant matter and cooked it into a low morphine possessing goop. You'd have to smoke it all day long to feel much. Anyway, they smoke very much different. Opium of this sort won't "run" and will barely smoke. The highs are different but I don't really want to describe them both. Too much time and effort. My friend's been addicted to opiates, mainly heroin, for years and years and would only say this: one, it is a very pleasureable experience (at first I mean) but that, two, it is an evil master that will own you for the rest of your life. I smoked some opium in the jungle in northern thailand. It was awesome, like smoking weed but 100 times better. I am glad it is not around my normal life, i would get addicted otherwise. |
