New album on Modern Love - "One Third Standard Lux" is
fucking lush if you've missed any of their 12s.

Seen no mention of them here before, they seem to be off
most peoples radar for some reason. Although they are often
described as electro, check out tracks like Crab Nebula,
Retreat Pod, Stream One, Green Beam for classic melodic
electronica that you can return to time and again.

Any one else here like 'em?

Can't see what that has got to do with Bitstream?

As no one seems to have heard of them, I advise you all to
do so urgently. Check the 7" on CCO.

mastered by Bola :D

hmm, pretty weird how the only 12" omitted from this cd is
the monolith, isn't it?

offline mimi on 2004-05-21 22:06 [#01201219]
Points: 5721 Status: Regular

tolstoyed, you have to download the monolith because odds
are you won't be able to find it anywhere (i think it's
fairly rare, because i had a hell of a time getting ahold of
it. probably under 1000 copies anyhow, and it seems like
people with copies don't give them up.). but it's really
really good! i'm not sure if it's up on soulseek
however...if you can't find it, let me know and i will be
sure to upload my copy ASAP.

thank you. i found someone who's sharing, im queued, but
i'll get it eventually. but just like you said, it appears
to be impossible to find...

this is some excellent music..."stream one" and "stream 2"
are brilliant, but so are almost all the other tracks.

why aren't artists like this mentioned more often??
this is brilliant stuff!

offline mimi on 2004-05-22 22:13 [#01202287]
Points: 5721 Status: Regular | Followup to tolstoyed: #01202009

my guess is that most people on here don't buy vinyl, which
really rules a lot of the good stuff out. as wonderful as
mp3s are, it's not as fun to download as it is to actually
buy the physical release. people are probably just looking
for what they can get on cd.

hence why bitstream is finally getting mentioned on
xltronic, after many records -- finally a cd is released.

cd's therefore!

bump for people looking for awesome music!!
