I honestly think that the videogame creators of the world
have yet to make a better game than Mario 3. I mean shit

It's like the original star wars trilogy is mario 3, and the
new star wars movies are all the games after mario 3. There
is no comparison. There is no god. Mario 3. Rock over
london. Rock on chicago.

music - the place to be.

i know

the zelda for snes was good. a little too good

once we hit 3-d, it all went downhill.

the kids these days don't know what the hell they have
missed and probably never will. I mean what kid owns a
regular nintendo these days? unless they have an older
brother that knows his shit.

it's a damn shame!

I wasn't impressed all that much with Mario 3 when it came
out, and playing it recently just confirmed the fact that
it's an average Mario game. Better than the non-Jap Mario 2,
but inferior to 1 and Super Mario World. Mario 64 I think is
still great, but Mario Sunshine was pretty much shit.

SPEAKING OF MARIO 1, DUCK HUNT IS AWESOME!

made....

Mario 3 remains the biggest WOW game of all-time, for me. I
was only 5 or 6 when I played it, and when I tore open the
red wrapping paper and saw that yellow box, I went mental. I
played it with my uncle and we got past the first world
(Grass Land) and I thought that was the whole game. I would
have been happy right there. But then this whole new fucking
Desert World popped up on screen and I was like, ''WTFOMG''.
And the worlds kept piling up... 8, in total. I was spent by
the end of it. Don't even get me started on finding the warp
whistles. The fucking Holy Grail, times ten. I was just out
of pre-school at the time and this game bent my mind.

It beats the shit out of any other game released in 1988. In
hindsight, though...

Nah, it's still awesome, hasn't lost a thing. Graphics,
control, music... there are two ''land'' themes in the whole
game, and they never get boring. Koji Kondo has the touch.

All those games hold up, even that bastard Doki Doki Panic.
Mario 64 is still my favorite 3D platformer,
Ratchet/Jak/Rayman/Cooper be damned. Sunshine had decent
gameplay, but the music is what makes it exceptional for
me.

3 is the best ever.

''those fucking 3d-adventure-thingies they make these days
SUCK ASS!''

If by ''suck ass'', you mean ''are great'', then you're
definitely right. Actually, Playstation 2 already has over a
half dozen AAA platforming titles, with 3-4 more on the way
in the near future. There's a lot of average 3D platformers,
but lest we forget Ardy Lightfoot, Bubsy the Bobcat, Aero
the Acrobat, Rocky Rodent, et al, ad nauseum.

Rocketknight Adventures was tight and deserves a facelift,
though. Using the Ratchet and Clank engine.

Me and my friends actually DREW the ENTIRE first level of
MB3 onto a paper-roll.. we moved mario one screen forward
and added the scenery. It looked quite cool (we had the
enemies in there too!), and we could play just by looking at
the paper...

geeky kids normally turn into geeky adults. While you were
doing that i was probably down the woods sniffing a crisp
packet full of UHU with my trendy mates.

laughmyassoff

But I think you should quit while you're ahead (which you
certainly are after that quip). Because Bill is way cooler
than us and will own us.

I know, and I have already realised the truth.

therefore, I surrender my hat and cane to Bill, and retreat
to some forest where I can rescue indians from fatigue.
