bAGPUSS from My luxury kennel baby on 2002-01-01 00:42 [#00065304]

You know i'm a reasonable cat so get off my pussy. But Star
wars is the worst piece of shit i ever had the discomfort of
viewing, the story is so simple a five year could make it up
("I got it guys, we'll go for the old good vs evil story but
put in space....Huh? Huh?, "Thats kinda ripping off 2001
man", "don't worry we'll add loads of bullshit, bad acting,
with less ambiguity so all those fucked idiots can get to
grips with it ie the american public") What a load of
bullshit. Please se me in my luxury kennels to get my
fitness video, i've slashed the price baby!!!!!!!

Aktium from bat country on 2002-01-01 01:03 [#00065319]

Gummi Bear no. 7 from Hand-cuffed to trois lesbians!!!!!!!!!! on 2002-01-01 01:07 [#00065321]

JAR JAR BINKS??????????? HE WRECKED THE MOVIE??????????????
HE DIDN'T WRECK THE MOVIE IT WAS ALREADY FUCKING SHIT,
SHITTY COMPUTER ANIMATED CHARACTERS ASIDE, IT WAS A SHITTY
FILM, LUCAS SHOULD DIE who's with me.

LeMoN on 2002-01-01 02:56 [#00065342]

I consider him to be quite the visionary. Oh, and if you
think the "failure" of Episode 1 was all his fault, I point
you in the direction of the Star Wars DVD. It has an
interesting documentary on the making of the movie. Seems to
me like he was surrounded by one too many yes-men. btw, I
enjoy Episode 1, I consider it to technically be a
revolutionary flick, and a quite enjoyable one as well. Mesa
thinks Episode 2 will no be doo-doo, eh?

Frothbottom from New York on 2002-01-01 03:01 [#00065344]

I think they should've ate Jar Jar.

Frothbottom from New York on 2002-01-01 03:04 [#00065346]

btw, Lucas definately should DIE. Episode I sucked, as will
2 and 3.

Scissorfeet from suburbia on 2002-01-01 03:07 [#00065349]

What??????????????????????????? LEMON, you are shtting me
right, right???????? RIGHT?????????????? Please say you were
shitting me, please. Otherwise, i will have to come over and
slash you wrists the let them bleed in the sink on the soap
or the dishcloth or indeed the scouring pad, but whatever
you will be dead.

Star Wars is appalling in every aspect, every feature, every
molecule, every atom of it is bad, not just bad (oH nO)
absolutely atrociously shit. And you, you should ashamed,
your wife would be ashmed, and i know your mother would be,
even if she is Bill Gates.

boo from haunted closet on 2002-01-01 03:12 [#00065352]

DEATH TO LUCAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND ANYONE
ASSOCIATED WITH THE FILMS, ESPECIALLY LEMON, WHO IS A
FUCKAFIED, RIGHT WING, BIGOTED, INBRED, ZEALOUS, FACIST,
SELF RIGHTEOUS, FANATICAL, excuse for a dipshit. (REMemBER
KIDS PLAYING WITH FIRE IS DANGEROUS, BUT IF YOU'RE BURING
GEORGE LUCAS, YOU WILL BE PERFECTLY SAFE FOR GOD WILL SMILE
ON YOU)

LeMoN on 2002-01-01 03:45 [#00065365]

I consider the Star Wars movies to be fun movies with cool
characters, awesome soundtracks, great action, and fantastic
special effects and design. Plain and simple. I am not some
nerd who hads read all the Star Wars books, most of which
take the entire Star Wars universe waaaaay too seriously, I
dont consider the original trilogy amazing art and the new
ones garbage. They are all fun movies. You dudes seem to
have metal rods stuck a few inches too far up your anuses.
Please guys, no flaming. Lets be mature.

gummi baby from in a box on 2002-01-01 03:51 [#00065370]

Mature????????????? That's for losers and deadbeats and
assholes and bastards and shitheads and fuckwits and
dipshits and homeodelusionoids and repressed lonely sad
people who like star wars, the sort of people i see everyday
in the street, people like you and TOby (you won't know him
but trust me he's an absolute dickhead who needs good
slashing).

Flaming is the only fun in my life, yes i am sad, lonely,
repressed, twisted, fucked up, stoned, high, drunk,
delusional, corrupt, illogical, irrational but at least i
don't like star wars.

zetre on 2002-01-01 14:50 [#00065422]

don´t watch it
u don´t have to
go see amelie and be happy

Jedi Chris from The North Pole on 2002-01-01 19:30 [#00065458]

The films may be hated by some people - but they have their
place in cinematic history whether you like it or not! So
from that perspective they were a success. Personally i
think they are great, but each to their own! Jar Jar Binks
wasn't a particulary good character I agree, but on the
whole I did enjoy Episode I. I don't like the Star Trek
films in comparision, and as it was mentioned above, I
personally thought the Lord of the Rings was particularly
weak! Very disapointing! I can't wait for Episode II and
III!

Xanatos from NYC on 2002-01-01 20:21 [#00065464]

Lord of the Rings ruled. Best movie of the year...will be a
legacy.

Episode 1 had a poor storyline for a Star Wars, which is
possibly the greatest science fiction saga of all time. Oh,
and it also had the best special effects of any movie ever
made in the history of filmmaking.

Chrispy from the UK 2 on 2002-01-02 00:38 [#00065512]

Star wars is a nice film to sit down to and relax. The sort
of film I'll sit down with my wife and kids later on in
life.

A nice film, all four.

Do you guys always want something spectacular, mentally
clever, Interesting story or do you ever desire to watch a
film and feel good?

wine gum from a place on 2002-01-02 02:27 [#00065537]

hey, if i wanted a film to feel good about then i'd just
watch "it's a wonderful life" and "rear window" and
"vertigo", i love jimmy stewart

bumblefuk on 2002-01-02 02:59 [#00065540]

you ever actually watch "vertigo" and "rear window"?
"vertigo" is creepy as hell, twisted, "rear window" is scary
in an old skool way. both are voyeuristic. or "rope", when
J Stewart outs a coupla of gay thrill for a kill upper class
boys?

i'm still waiting for some one day to be discovered
directors cut of "its a wonderful life", when Stewart jumps
off the bridge, instead of that sappy happy unreleastic
ending. bah. i always want to see him die.

damion on 2002-01-02 06:01 [#00065559]

the trailer for attack of the clones
it looks like this movie will be worse the episode 1
the guy that plays aniken cant act hes a flake and there
romance scenes look crap,
lord of the rings is far superior to this tired series

Ouakha from I wish I knew... on 2002-01-03 09:44 [#00065831]

LOTR sound track was terrible, more suitable to Titanic or
Pearl Harbour. Should have gone for something less
mainstream. Anyone with views on the 1977 animated version??
I like it.

As for Star Wars (not episode 1 which I will prob never
watch again & Jar Jar : why was he created??), it was only
after Christmas day that I suddenly realised it would have
been the perfect movie for my mindset (i.e requiring no
effort to watch). To all those who vented bile on the topic
of Star Wars : what a waste of energy. There are other
things more worthy of hate!

gummi gum from somewhere on 2002-01-03 18:40 [#00065887]

Such as?

Bumblefunk - you're goddamn right, i've been thinking about
making my own gummi cut of "it's a wonderful life", it'd be
fuckin bleak.

evolume from at work in bothell, north of seattle, USA on 2002-01-03 18:48 [#00065889]

when the special effects look so obvious, it ruins the
movie. its like seeing the strings holdig up the floating
brain in some b horror movie. starwars special effects were
crap. the best special effects are the ones you don't see.
for example: all of the color was re done in Oh brother
where art thou?
and
amelie was phat

balthus from europe on 2002-01-03 19:16 [#00065893]

i don't think amelie is a good alternative. the cardboard
characters and corny special effects in that movie were as
bad as in phantom menace. lord of the rings was great - the
best sf/fantasy movie since blade runner or even the empire
strikes back, at least after the first viewing (maybe the
impression changes with following views). but there are a
lot more movies which don't need cgi and are a lot more
impressive as movies which got loads of cgi effects...
recent ones: code inconnu, in the mood for love, being john
malkovich, sous le sable (and perhaps requiem for a dream -
i have not seen this one yet). and older films, by godard,
kubrick, truffaut, fellini, borowczyk, scorsese...

i still sort of hope for attack of the clones - phantom
menace was dissapointing and gets more and more
dissapointing with every view. only the senator palpatine
scenes are nice and retrospective of the old star wars
films. i don't think that lucas can do a movie again like
the empire. but then lucas wasn't the director of that film,
irvin kershner was. maybe george should watch out for peter
jackson in rescuing the first trilogy with Episode III.

Sgt Growley from UK on 2002-01-03 19:22 [#00065894]

When the first film came out it was such a huge event. It
was the greatest film of it's kind for years and years. But
now George has lost it, cashed in, made a shit film and
pissed over all that good work!

balthus from europe on 2002-01-03 19:26 [#00065896]

bumble & winegum -

Rear Window & Vertigo are great films, but my favourite
Hitchcock films are North by Northwest, Psycho, The Birds
and Marnie.

The score for Lord of the Rings should have been written by
Bernard Herrmann. Especially the music in the final parts of
LOTR reminded me of Titanic, it somewhat ruined the ending
of the movie for me.

wayout from a plastic bubble on 2002-01-03 23:31 [#00065963]

i just heard that nsync are going to be making a cameo in
episode 2...(im not kidding)
now if that doesnt make anyone excited i dont know what
will..

LeMoN on 2002-01-03 23:37 [#00065965]

N'Sync? damn...well, the movie also has Christopher Walken
in it, and his coolness factor more then negates N'Sync's
gay factor. Ohhh yeeaahhh.

Jedi Chris from Tatooine on 2002-01-04 00:20 [#00065974]

I think you'll find that Christopher Walken is not in the
next Star Wars film, it was a rumour that was ruled out
sometime last year. The cast listing can be read at
http://www.starwars.com/episode-ii/cast.html As to the
Nsync link - that too sounds very questionable, unless of
course they are playing the roles of 'extras' in the film,
like a few of the producers in Episode I.

Jedi Chris from Tatooine on 2002-01-04 00:25 [#00065975]

Actually I stand corrected about the NSYNC cameo
appearances- I checked with the website theforce.net and
found the following....

A few of the 'NSYNC guys will appear in "Star Wars - Episode
II: Attack of the Clones," according to a spokesperson from
Lucasfilm.
The spokesperson didn't know specifically which members have
cameos in the movie, which will be the fifth "Star Wars"
release from creator George Lucas. The guys will be seen for
a fleeting moment in a "big scene with lots of extras."

The roles materialized after the group members, who are all
fans of the sci-fi saga, asked the new film's producer, Rick
McCallum, for bit parts.

Big deal I say, who's gonna notice anyway? Only the kinda
saddos who are into Nsync anyway!!! I'd be none the wiser
watching it anyway - right!!??

Xanatos from NYC on 2002-01-04 00:29 [#00065978]

^ I think that is very interesting. I always wondered if
you became tremendously famous if you could just be part of
anything you loved. Just to be an extra makes you part of
it in a way.

I would fucking love to do that. Even to be in Lord of the
Rings...which will become a timeless classic as well.

Jedi Chris from Tatooine on 2002-01-04 00:35 [#00065979]

You're right it would be great to be in a film as an extra.
George Lucas should have told them to fuck off! :-)

I guess its a case of 'who' you know!! Stinking NSync. Pity
they aren't to be in some scene where they get lightsabered
into pieces or something? Or perhaps Force choked!!

Xanatos from NYC on 2002-01-04 00:38 [#00065980]

george lucas should have said fuck off.

Then again he put Samuel L. Jackson in E1

Jedi Chris from Tatooine on 2002-01-04 00:43 [#00065981]

You can't seriously compare the likes of Samuel L Jackson to
those jerks NSync can you?

Mark Hamill the guy who played Luke in the first 3 films,
his son was an extra in Ep I - but then that's different
isnt it!

Xanatos from NYC on 2002-01-04 00:44 [#00065982]

yeah thats fine but Samuel L Jackson was awful.

They should never ever put any recognizable face like that
in star wars..

and yes I don't care if Hamill Junior is in it you're right

Jedi Chris from Tatooine on 2002-01-04 00:50 [#00065983]

I agree absolutely, Samuel L Jacksons performance wasnt that
good at all!! The use of an 'unknown' would have been
better. Not quite sure whether Christopher Lee shouldve
been chosen for the role either in EP II. I'm not knocking
his acting ability, he is a long established actor, I'm just
not sure whether or not he'll fit in.

Chrispy from UK on 2002-01-04 08:46 [#00066088]

I think S L Jackson fit the role of Mace Windu just fine for
me. Compared to the rest of the film, he was fine. It was
all really hammy.
