lol at the ''riding down the stairs'' bit. Damn, that's hot.

Ninja Turtles was my favorite show, followed by GI Joe...
but for some reason, they rarely showed that one around
here. I think it was banned by our local stations for some
reason. Maybe because of the insane, mind warping violence.
But I always rented the movies and collected the toys. Every
vehicle acquisition was a party.

Astroboy was a good one. There was something subtlely
''mature'' about that show... there were death scenes, a
robot relationship that really had a weird ambience about
it... I noticed it even at that age... and an incredible
intro theme. Apparently, the earlier, black and white
Japanese episodes were much better. If so, they must have
been double amazing. Because I used to skip school to watch
Astroboy. There's a PS2 Astroboy due out later this year.

The Jungle Book was another dark series. If you want blood,
you got it.

Classic Ren & Stimpy, Super Mario Super Show (feat. Lou
Albano), Captain N, Beavis & Butthead, Rugrats, and of
course TMNT (not the link =( )

Super Mario and Captain N! Oh man. Are any stations still
airing those shows, anywhere? It's been so long.

About the only thing I remember about the Super Show is the
episode where Sgt. Slaughter arrives and says he got stuck
in a traffic jam because he was driving a gigantic tank and
didn't have any room to manouver.

It's not a cartoon, but my absolute favorite show of
all-time was Gamepro, with JD Roth (of Funhouse fame) and
some pot-head named Brennan. JD called him Bren-ON. That
show was spectacular. They superimposed their images on
video game scenes, with hilarious results. And they showed
the ending to a few games on every episode. I couldn't
believe my eyes when I saw the endboss to Ninja Gaiden 3
(damned if I could ever get to him). And of course SWAT-
Secret Weapons and Tactics. I'd get my pen out for that
segment.

Oh man, I'd do anything to watch some old episodes.

I wish I could say yes, but I'm uncertain whether or not
those shows are still televised. There are some fan sites
though, like captainn.net and 80scartoons.net.

Gamepro sounds like a primitive predecessor to some Tech TV
game review shows! I don't remember ever coming across it
though. Sounds interesting!

Gwely Mernans: Yeah, I know this sounds kind of cold, but I
like the pre-Dilbert seasons of Rugrats. Ever since Nick
started making Rugrats movies the show seemed to loose the
element of adventure, in my opinion. But yeah, there were
some spectacular episodes from the early seasons.

yeah they were all pretty damn good, its too bad they dont
show them over here anymore. Although they have Aeon Flux at
the local video store.

did you guys ever see The Head? it was about this guy with
an alien parasite in his head, which made his head huge, and
it used to burst out and etc. Something like that, i havnt
seen it since i was young.
