A friend and I had ordered tickets off ticketmaster.com (fuckers), and had requested to have them (ticketmaster [motherfuckers]) send the tickets to my house, in a reasonable timely manner, as one would expect from a well respected ticket dealer (douche bags). So today was the day of the Dj Shadow/Blackalicious (pimp) concert, and lo and behold, I realized this morning I had still not recieved my ticket in the mail. So I thought "what the fuck, where the hell is my ticket". My friend had also not recieved his ticket either, and I made this very clear to the representative on the phone when I called Ticketmaster (anal warts). He then explained to me (twice) that my tickets would be available at the box office of the venue in which the concert would be held that night. "Goody" I thought, we wont need our tickets after all, just some ID. I prompty told my friend to follow suit in my path. Then later, that evening, we show up at the venue, we get to where the guy lets you in and we tell him our names, and lo and behold, our names are not on the list. "But how could this be?" Wondered. Frustrated, I called Ticketmaster (goatse.cx), to calmly ask what happened. After being put on hold numerous times, I was the told again that our tickets would be there and that we should call back if they we're not. Thats when I lost it... "I dont fucking think so, here's what we're gonna do. YOU are gonna wait on the phone while i put you on hold, and I'm gonna go wait in line and look one more time. And if my name isn't on there, I'm gonna ask you to put your manager on the phone, You understand?" She said she understood, and I did as I described. This time I was actually handed the list with all the names on it, and again, our names where not on it! WHAT ARE THE FUCKING ODDS?! I quickly resumed the conversation with the Ticketbastard girl... "well guess what, my name is NOT on the list, and the concert is happening RIGHT NOW, and I'm stuck outside... so now what? HUH?" continued... |

So she apologized for the 'inconvenience' and said she would transfer me to someone higher up that would take care of the problem. WRONG. I got transferred to an automated menu. Bullshit. I called back. This time someone different. Right away I asked him to put his manager on the phone. "OH, sir! Let me try to help you out with your problem." "NO. I want to talk to your boss, right now" "They aren't here." "Bullshit." "Listen just tell me what happened and I'll see what I can do." After a bit more of that bickering, I gave in and told the guy the entire fucking story up to this point. "Ok sir, hold on and I'll se what I can do." He put me on hold. The motherfucker put me on hold. The longest 'hold time' thus far this evening. And on top of that, the music they play while you wait, sounds like they had a boombox held too close to a microphone, major clipping so that you couldn't even make out what song it was, just bits and pieces of snare drums. So after being on hold for at least 15 minutes, I start thinking. "If this morons boss isn't there, who the fuck is he consulting about this situation?" "Hello sir?" "What." "We'll gladly refund your money, but our customer help section has gone home for tonight, but we'll give you your refund if you call tomorrow" "Great, this was a huge waste of time. This better one hell of a refund" "(silence)" Then I asked him for his name and told him this better be one hell of a fucking refund. ---- So I'm thinking, what the fuck. Giving me a refund wont let me see DJ Shadow. "Oh boy, now that I got my money back, I think I'll go see Dj Shadow next weekend" FUCKERS. I live in the fucking southwest, not in NY or Los Angeles. This is bullshit, I want those bastards to pay for my airfare to see Dj Shadow in whatever city he is playing in this weeked. |

" Highly unlikely that they'd do that, but if you can prove expenses for the trip (hotel receipts, bus tickets to get there, etc.) they might refund some of that. |

i think getting anything apart from a ticket refund for them is quite unlikely, unfortunately. ticketmaster here in australia are almost the same; had a simular story happen, except the ticket ended up getting delivered a few hours before the concert, to a post office a good two hours drive out from the city; i didn't have transport at the time, and not much time, so i hailed a taxi. would have been over $150 worth, but the taxi guy (the only normal driver i've met, ever) felt sorry for me and wiped the meter! |

I'm worrying about a ticket of my own right now.. there is a concert/event called goodvibes that is taking place this friday here in Bergen where Pharoahe Monch and Erick Sermon and Kool Keith ++ are playing.. Originally, it was Common instead of Pharoahe (it's a good substitute, though), and I bought my ticket while it was still Common, so on my ticket it says: "Common, Erick Sermon, Youn..." I hope I won't be stopped in the door by some fucking workouthead who think I've got fake tickets or something like that! Also.. Nas postponed his concert which I also have tickets to.. they don't know when it will be, but if it overlaps Roskilde, I'm gonna be PISSED OFF! |

FUCK!!!!! After spending 40 minutes on the phone trying to work my way up throught the ladder of bullshit, I get this one motherfucker telling me that I have to write a letter to someone. So i cursed at him saying shit like "I know you make most of your business of the internet and I'm am gonna boycott the SHIT outta you," "Did you just fucking hear a goddamn word I said?" And stuff like that. He said he did, and then had the balls to ask me if I heard what HE said, so then I cursed at him some more and the sonofabitch hung the fuck up on me!!!! |
