theres so many good bits, I'm not sure what to pilfer. oh and if you are gunna be all nerdy, the megadrive used a yamaha fm chip as well as a psg (programmable sound generator) and a noise generator(as part of the psg i think). this was controlled by a Z80 cpu running at a standard 4mhz speed. the yamaha chip was the most important bit, the others helped with things like drum sounds, lightning, etc Considering the master system used just a z80 for everything, and the megadrive uses a motorola 68000 cpu for games AND a Z80 Just for music, it is understandable why the music was/is great. |

a while back i did a remix of of mystic cave zone from sonic 2 and spammed it here, and also sent it to overclocked remix. i guess it must have been shit cause it got rejected without even going to the judges. i also did a remix of oil ocean once, but i didn't like it at all. perhaps i will attempt a new remix for this project. |

do you have the latest version of the rar tools? there's a newer format, introduced with winrar3, that won't decompress with older programs. the unrar stuff that comes with os x, for example, won't decompress it. |

man, why the fuck would you still be using os9? up until 10.3, hated os x because it was a slow piece of shit, but it's quite usable now. but yeah, stuffit won't have a bar of the newer rar files. i use the 'unrar' command line tool under os x, but that doesn't help you on 9. |
