Damn, he used to be my favourite wrestler about 13 years ago! (Please don't lambast my poor taste!) I was just watching the 1990 Royal Rumble with my nephew on Friday (I have it on VHS) whilst babysitting, and was amusing him by saying "he's dead... he's dead" etc. So, today I googled "Wrestling Deaths" just to see if any new ones had died, and shock of all shocks, there was Mr. Perfect, Curt Hennig, dead February 2003! I saw him in a WWf PPV a coupla years back! And also Miss Elizabeth, who was the side-kick to I can't remember who! She's dead, too!

Hennig was awesome, one of the best technical wrestlers of all time. Hennig vs Hart= YES.
And I have fond memories of Wrestlemania 5, when Elizabeth took off her pants to distract Ted DiBiase.

Wrestling is basically in a soap opera but with sweaty fighting and a fanbase of metalheads.

Don't insult metalheads like that.
Anyway, I knew that Mr Perfect was dead because Macho Man Randy Savage has a song dedicated to him on his 2003 rap album, "Be A Man." I believe the song is called "Perfect Friend."

Dino Bravo On March 11, 1993 Dino Bravo was gunned down gangland style in his apartment in Quebec, Canada, and has been figured as the target of an organized crime hit because of his involvement in cigarette smuggling activities in Canada. Scores of spent shells were found with Bravo's bullet-ridden corpse. He was 44.

A lot of past and present wrestling figures have been dying over the past few years. I'm not keen to the details, as I've haven't paid attention to wrestling in years. But, apparently, the drugs and bad comapny these people hang around with are slowly eating them alive and killing them halfway through a normal lifespan.
I personally would not be surprised to see pro-wrestling slowly go the way of roller derby...a craze that is past its time and will slowly die out while "the next big thing" will come in to replace it, hopefully without the dark forces that accompanied wrestling over the past few decades...

don't forget "Crash Holly", his real name escapes me right now but he is the latest 'big name' to die.
wrestlers really do lead a rough life, but you can't feel to sorry for 'em cuz they chose it.

Yeah, the behind-the-scenes wrestling world is cursed, or worse. All those premature deaths, plus the shit-luck of wrestling families like the Von Erichs and Harts leads me to believe that God thinks wrestling is really lame.
Of course, it's not, it totally rocks.
I can't believe Road Warrior Hawk croaked. The Legion of Doom was on RAW not too long ago and they looked fine. It's a tough lifestyle, there's no off-season in wrestling and having 300 pound men jumping onto your face every night tends to hurt. Not to mention most of the ''divas'' in wrestling are repulsive and probably contribute to the death and dying.

I never got to watch much wrestling when I was younger, but my friend had cable TV, and they showed the WWF -- me and him were quite big fans up til about early 92 I guess. I remember when Earthquake appeared, during a push-up competition between Dino Bravo and The Ultimate Warrior -- that was exciting :D I picked up three old WWF videos cheap at the weekend, from 1990 and 1991 - pretty cool to retread memory lane :D
I found out that another old school WWF wrestler has died : HERCULES. I was never a big fan of his :D Even when he was in Power & Glory - I was always a Hart Foundation fan - couldn't stand the Rockers or any of the others, apart from, maybe, Demolition :D
