ohh, this is good! his new album, and it seems to be his
best so far - and i really like multila...
very dub sounding (as usual), but often coverd with
excellent electronica...sounds quite confusing at moments
but i love that...comes quite noisy at times too...great
stuff!

anyone else likes it?

there's a track "kotilainen" which is very similar to tim
hecker's music...at least the 1st half of it, then some
beats are added, but it's still nice.

i'm definitely looking forward to this one... delay is quite
sweet...

im thinking you'll be surprised to some point...his other
releases are much more alike one to another...this one has
those specific dubby sounds as well, but maybe (just maybe)
some tracks are a bit similar to some of philip jeck. it's a
very very nice record.

so long as it's murky i'm happy...

hmm, it isn't that murky i think...
you find tim hecker murky? it's kind of uplifting to me for
some reason.

hmm, seems like we have different definitions of murky...
when i say murky, i mean that the track sounds very thick,
deep, etc. like when their are layers of crackles and hiss
over top of something and it makes it sound like you are
hearing music through jello or something....

i see...then it's definitely murky
i was thinking murky was like dark, even morbid...

of course, that does come into it as well... and i do like
dark morbid music... so there you go (by which i mean i
don't know... bleh :P)

hehe, i'll ask this way then...you find tim hecker's music
to be morbid/dark?
cuz i think it isn't :)

tim hecker... definitely not...some of the most beautiful,
happy music i've ever heard... speaks to the delicate beauty
of our world... there are tracks which imply something
sombre (in particular, 7000 miles comes to mind)... but i
think that a positive beauty is at the core of all of Tim's
work...i'm going to try to get an interview with him to use
as a feature for the university radio station i volunteer/dj
at...

we agree on that then :)

it'd be nice to read about some of his thoughts...i hope it
works out with that interview.

stpd slsk s dwn!

hey Tolstoyed, you should check out Aki Onda... he's kind of
similar to Philip Jeck... (definitely on the noisy side)
his album "Ancient and Modern" is pretty nice
