buddy of mine is getting an mp3 car audio player and since
the two of us don't know much about this things, i'd love if
some of you could recommend what to get.

he was thinking of getting a JVC (kd-sh 9101 mp3, cd tuner)
or
PIONEER (deh-p 3630 MP, cd tuner), so it would be nice if
you could tell what to pick between these two.

thanks.

fuck that, just get an iPod or something, and use a CD/MD to
Cassette thingy

cheaper, and less fucking around with the internals of the
car and shit

well, he has that money to spend so i guess that isn't a
problem...and he's not going to make some big changes with
the internals either.

actually i forgot to ask the most important thing...i
haven't seen (neither did my buddy) how good these things
are with reading mp3s...i heard once that it could be a bit
of a problem because they're really slow, so if someone has
some experience with that it would be great to hear their
thoughts...

pioneer is brilliant for audio. I'm not sure if I trust
Sony, as some times they can make good stuff but you have to
end up paying a bomb for something decent by them. I have
seen a Ministry of Sound car audio system, I can imagine
that being pretty damn good, I suggest you have a search for
one of those.

so JVC is out of the question?
i heard good things about pioneer as well...and he wants to
keep it simple and well, that ministry of sound sounds sort
of expensive :)

Well JVC is reliable but nothing special I guess. I'm just
going to check around to find a good one for you

cheers...he's kind of picking among those two (i mentioned
in the first post) tho...but perhaps, if they have the one
you think it's good he'll check that one as well.

thanks again.

Is your mates price range around £300?

My mate got a pioneer one and from what I've seen it works
very well.

It has 2 colour schemes as well if you like that sort of
thing.

Well I would personally go for the pioneer without a doubt.
If you want to go for amazing quality go for a Kenwood,
possibly the Kenwood KDC-PSW9524 MP3 CD, but that's around
£400. But yeh, pioneer, go for it

uh, no, nothing like that...more up to a £200
mark...preferably less...hmm

Well it looks like you got it sorted with the pioneer. Tell
your mate that's the one to get.
