bonjour! because im very narrowminded and think that everyone who listens to autechre knows stuff about computers, heres another good question for y'all
when i burn a cd, 3 out of 10 fail.. today it happened twice in a row. I am however unable to handle the tension caused by the buffer underrun - see attached graphism, so you nice folks might have a clue how to fix the problem, or suggest some more reliable burning software
im running windows xp on a 2.4Ghz P4 512 ram 12x speed cd writer + Internal handjob apparatus
thanks

If your drive hasn't got buffer underrun protection that'll be it. If that is the case just leave the computer alone while you are burning. Go learn the electric bogaloo or something.

I have a 32xspeed cd writer. I had the same problem with failing cd's recently. Most disks failed and it wouldnt burn over 8 speed.
After running a lens cleaner through the drive about 20times, it worked fine again. Maybe you could try that.

I would convert mp3 to .wav files before you start burning. It's my guess that it isn't converting them fast enough, so your buffer runs out.
