um, I don't think you can use samples with plucked because it's a physical modeling synth

its possible to use Plucked with a sample because i've seen it be done with one of the songs that other artists have done with the program. i believe the name of the song is called FuegoBender something... he uses plucked instruments with sample. does anybody know what i'm talkin about?

what pigeon said - the way plucked creates sound is by applying equations that model the behaviour of a plucked string.
ergo you can't use samples with it.

In the version of FL I am using (legit 4, non studio) samples cannot be loaded into the plucked! synth.
I don't see exactly how or why.... But I know I do have that demo tune you're talking about and it is a very good demo.
I even remixed it and burned it for myself hehe
Nora get some patience, without matience you'll never make it in the music world, let alone a messageboard ;-)
(Sometimes I feel as though I should take my own advice)
Also careful with going too far straight into the deep end with music. In my personal opinion the most fun way to make music is to treat is as an adventure, something exploratory. If I knew what I was doing now I'd become quickly bored with it and go on to something else. I've never had a musical lesson in my life and have taught myself everything. It's taken me a long time to get to where I am (either a stone's throw away from square one or very long walk, I'm not the one to judge) but I haven't regretted a moment of it. It's been fun and now I know a bunch of things but it's the things I don't know which continue to intruigue me. I think someone's drugged me I can't seem to escape this quasi reality I've been spliced into.
The last paragraph, I've just realised, isn't aimed at anyone in particular, but more of an opinion i have.

just kiddin. i see what you mean everbody's always like just go with the flow. honestly the best melodies i ever came up with came out of nowhere i didnt intend on really something to come out. then when i'm diggin really hard for something it never comes out how i really wanted it to.

i think someone is getting confused here
a synth is a device that generates a waveform using an oscillator. this waveform is then passed through various filters, modulators and amplifiers and then to your audio output as an acoustic signal (ie. SOUND).
a sampler has quite a few of the features of a synth, except one quite important (and therefore ultimately defining) feature - an oscillator (unless you count an LFO). to produce a waveform, a sampler must be loaded with a pre-recorded acoustic signal known in the "biz" as a "SAMPLE".
a synth is a synth.
a sampler is a sampler.
if plucked is a physical modeling synth, then it is a SYNTH.......not a sampler

Not meaning to cloud matters, but you do get sample based synthesis too (in its simplest form, small samples that replace the waves of the oscillators, like on the TS-404 in floops). Still, I'm pretty sure plucked is just a synth and you can't load samples into it :)

yeh i know mate, but i'm not too into all that new-fangled stuff
i like vintage analog synths ;)
so my definition of synthesis involves a VCO
