i dunno what it is, but it feels like its lacking
something......to me it feels like there could be a lot more
bass in the synths or something, or more of a stereo
landscape in the track.

might just be me - i'm too used to panning stuff all over
the place in my stuff

or it could be the bit rate of the mp3......i dunno

good so far though i reckon :)

looking for.

I hope you take this as constructive criticism, I would take
some of the "fuzzyness" out and clear it up a bit, but other
than that it's really good. I like the looping melody at
about 45 secs in, it's kind of uplifting in a soothing way.

Its a work in progress so I prefer to reserve my judgement
until I've heard the final piece :-).

what are you using to make this, if you don't mind me
asking?

is it all software, or is there some hardware in there too?

for my stuff i use a combo of

Reason 2.5
Peak 4.11
Cubase SX 1.06
TrackS for Mac

i've got Ableton Live, but I haven't bothered messing about
with that yet - I can't be arsed to tell the truth!

Original has a childish melody on top of it all (:

I only used a Fast tracker (ftIII)

i think that the fuzziness should be kept in the track, but
bring the level of fuzziness down a little......it distracts
a bit too much

that's what i'd do anyways :)

fuzziness comes from an electric raser (is that how you call
it in English ??). I can turn the volume of it down any
time...

Thanks again!

oscillik, I think that fast tracker II has gone
open-source.

You can either compile it or find some windows emulators for
Mac. There are some nice trackers for windows such as
mod-plug. Try doing that when you got time.

It might look hard at the begining, but once you get used to
it, you will most likely dislike any nice looking programs!

Well, the sound quality of the tone was somewhat
unpleasantly noisy. The melody itself was fine though not
much to it. The percussion was quite simple and
computationally primitive. Also you might have unconsciously
memetically taken that dun-dun-dun-dun-dadadun-dun-dun
from... nine inch nails I think.

yeah, i've got Virtual PC and pretty much every version of
Windows ever released, but i dunno if it'll run ok in VPC -
i've tried running stuff like FruityLoops and VPC doesn't
seem to handle anything audio intensive......it's jittery,
but i could give it a shot.

:)

w M w, no I didn't bother making beat

Anyway, you MIGHT like any of these two (no complicated
beats, but I made them at least....)

Nice and strong beat.... although repetitive

some theme on reggae beat
