i don\\\'t know.... on 2001-12-29 14:12 [#00064737]

how could you leeave out Autechre? if you list is just
totally subjective, then what is the point?
the A list of "electronic"...

Aphex Twin
Squarepusher
Luke Vibert
mu-Ziq
Autechre
Richie Hawtin
Jeff Mills
Meat Beat Manifesto
FSOL
Kraftwerk

those bubbling under...

Boards of Canada
Venetian Snares
Cex
Electric Company
Kid 606
Dan "the Automator"
Amon Tobin
whover the hell else...

remember these lists are totally subjective.

i'll wait and see on a new Boards of Canada, they are not
really very innovative, just damn fine craftsman. they
found a style they do well, and do it well. listen to some
of their more uptempo older stuff, really kin of lame.

i don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t know.... on 2001-12-29 14:24 [#00064739]

Twin, Autechre, and Boards of Canada... Orbital and
Underworld are cool... Bjorks stuff is good, and Radioheads
electronic stuff is cool... but again, I haven't heard that
much...

Proem-burnplate no.1

m3rck.net/

for Proem-negativ

anything off merck is top-notch

some might say that nothing that proem has put out is ground
breaking...that might be true but I haven't been able to
take either cd out of my player for at least 3 months.

hope this helps

])@RTH \\/@])ER from An Imperial Cruiser on 2002-01-02 15:09 [#00065610]

Proem's beats are crystal and the melodies are strong.
A very talented musician that don't use any hardware at all
i read somewhere.

Rocky from The magic faraway tree on 2002-01-03 16:42 [#00065872]

wtf,

Has nobody heard of hard floor, or plastic man, Coldcut. -
they gotta be way up there
& Orbital, Aphex Squarepuser, Jake Slazenge, Do Kruder &
Dorfmeister count What is "electronic" music, what are the
definitions?

Korben Dallas from _ on 2002-01-03 22:45 [#00065949]

sniper - if you wan't "experimental stuff" - try the MEGO
label .. eg. Pita, Florian Hecker and co. - on
Audiogalaxy???

Otherwise try:

www.mp3.com/artificialselection
www.mp3.com/marzipan_dolphin
www.mp3.com/zmalloc

Although, you could consider Aphex Twin well experimental,
if you consider the Chemical Brothers experimental!

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-04 03:12 [#00065997]

Aphex Twin is experimental, but not TOO experiemental... he
still follows some "rules"... like just listen to the chorus
in Alberto Balsalm for instance...

Frag on 2002-01-04 03:44 [#00066004]
