check out some of his stuff on the skampler (SKAM)cd
(@wartmart)-soup sounds a bit dated(then again, it was
recorded about five years before it was released), but there
is some lush ambient work on that compilation.

i agee, timeless stuff. but the last track on the album is
the best track bola has done in my opinion.............

i wouldn't say that it is a timeless album-in the sense that
early 808 state sounds dated because it belongs to the era
of acid house -and shares many mannerisms with it. in the
same way that early autechre takes its place in the last
decade but only in the context of their more experimental
work which is more compelling to listen too over a greater
period of time. sure if you were to be stranded on an island
with that bola album, immune to what developments were
taking place in the 'outside' world that album would still
sound as ground breaking as it did back in 95 or 96-but with
advents in programming and new equipment -afx being one of
the key players here it sounds old. still-thats half the
charm for my ears, just like early B12, early orb, carl
craig or even the KLF's 'chill out' album. that record
definately has its place in history, but these days even to
acquire a place is an achevement & something to be proud of.
