Ok, question...

is there a program in OSX, that allows me to make alerts for
certain times? like, have something give me an alert at a
certain time, and day?

That would be very useful.

Thanks

iCal will do that.
Just make a new event and on the side bar there's an option
to give you an alarm at any time.

Yeah iCal will do that, but it's not the most ideal option -
unless you wanna be clearing out your calendar enties all
the time

you'd want something like a multiple alarm clock program -
unfortunately something like this will be shareware, but
here is a link to MacUpdate, with the search page for alarms
opened

linkage

sweet thanks. iCal should do fine... I just need to mark
days to pay rent and other such things. Im not very reliable
with these things...

can I close the application to still get the alerts, or does
it need to be on?

You can close it. You'll get a little pop-up.
In the events settings you can even make it repeat one a
month, week, etc..

If you have an iPod you can even isync it up to alarm you.
