This may contain spoilers for people who haven't played FF X-2 or FFVII. I was playing FFX2 the other day, and I couldn't help but notice that Shinra mentions something about taking advantage of the life-force that flows through the farplane, and building a city of light that never sleeps. If you've played FFVII, a corporation called Shinra (or Shin-ra) is using "mako" (life-force) for energy, and their headquarters is in a HUGE city that never sleeps. Is it possible that Square has made not only a sequel to FFX, but a prequel to FFVII, and that this suggests a connection between ALL the games?! In FFIX, you find Clouds sword on a wall in one of the shops, and Zidane makes a remark like "I think I remember a small guy with pointy hair using one of these.." Could they have planned it from "the start?" |
