tri repetae may get lots of votes for the bundled version
(suffix '++') which includes anvil vapre and garbage EPs..

hey, what ended up happening with your PC anyway? I stopped
following the discussion when you mentioned that you're
taking it to repairs (and were worried about sensitive
information they had access to).. like I said 103012312
times, your data is definitely not lost.

I joked to a few friends about the muppets, and now they are
using those icons on orkut (you on orkut? email me if you
aren't and would like to be..)

i d/l a wishwash of newer ae tracks, sounds like wierd fuzz
noise. but hell, maybe if i get high and listen to the
tracks carefully i can hear what you all hear ;P

well i kinda knew there wasnt much lost, they recovered the
data for me (wasnt that expensive really)

the boot record was screwed becuz some sectors on the disc
got damaged (i think when something in the house
short-circuited) .. so they repaired it

im sure i could have fixed it myself with some time and a pc
running linux :/

glad to hear that you got your data and it didn't cost much.
I coulda stepped you through it but I was being ignored.. I
doubt a house circuitry problem caused it. Keep a close eye
on your drive to make sure it isn't acting up.. after I
recovered the data from mine, I got a new one anyway because
it was in such bad shape and damaged in a way that I knew
heralded more crap.

Glad to see the new avatar and a reference to our favorite
nonsense.. eh I use linux by the way..

++ or not, I like Tri Repetae the best. And Draft 7.30 takes
second place. Don't ever expect this to change.

I'm the opposite. To this day I haven't been able to listen
to Incunabula from beginning to end. I like Amber a lot, and
there are a couple tracks on Tri Rep that I really like.
Chiastic Slide and everything after is the stuff I really
like.

That's how I feel, although generally I can enjoy Tri Rep
all the way through. I also like Anvil Vapre and garbage
(mainly for vletrmx I guess) a lot.

Actually... that didn't come out right. Garbage and Envane
are brilliant. I enjoy everything they've done but I favour
the later stuff more.

Bronchusevenmx is masterful. The first time I tried that
song with headphones and I heard the girl's voice echoing
away in the background, it completely blew my mind.

That's when I started making an effort to listen to their
whole catalog in bed with headphones on so I had no other
distractions and I could focus on all the sounds. Such a
rewarding experience.

In other news, it's been a year and week since Draft was
released and they haven't said anything about a new EP :(

but I hope they do a "proper" EP as well.

on the tri repetae album

at all.
I just think it's a fantastic song :)

personally i'm not that much into old ae...shoot me cos of
my statement, but some stuff sound too cheezy.
stuff like draft 7.30 , gantz graf, confield and.... ok tri
repetae is from 95 but it sounds very fresh still today so
that one is an exception.

i agree with the initial statement:

the past 3 releases have been, in my eyes, ae's best ever.

stuff like tri rep, thoguh good, doesnt even compare.
its not even in the same universe.

yep,i can see ae getting in some near / far future to the
essence of the gescom sound.
draft 7.30 is just an warning for soon to come, imo.

you had an hafler trio ep...that was something?
or that didn't make good impact to ya?
tho i'm really glad to see them collaborate with
somebody,it's something wery special i think.

It was a tough choice between Tri Rep. and Draft 7.30 for

its sounds perfectly obvious to you... =)

nuh uh, "which album do you like more" clearly translates to
"which album based on scientific analysis dominates all
others in terms of quality".

and of course the answer is envane.
