I don't mind Soulseek being down. It gives me a chance to
sift through my New Downloads folder and actually listen or
look at or watch (har har) what I download. Otherwise, it
just builds up and a lot of it just get ignored.

beatburglar, slsk is down a lot recetnly because the linux
server is reaching its limitations....meanwhile (so nir
says) he is with others working on hacking the kernel to
allow further expansion for now....without compromise, and
of course lots of work happening on the next slsk release,
new betas coming out almost daily...

What are the chances of getting a client for Linux Users
that's not written in Python?

What other file sharing programs does everyone use? I ONLY
use Soulseek, plus some Bit Torrent. But I want to expand my
horizons.

what may i ask is wrong with python?

There is nothing wrong with the Python version, Nicotine
it's just I feel that using a more mainstream language such
as C/Java would allow more people to become involved in
development of the client. It may also make cross platform
compatability easier.
