Sorely underrated album by ex-"synthpop" group in post-rock
style in the late 80s, sales bombed, caused them to be
dropped by their record label, massively over budget and
overtime. Influenced the 90s post rock scene (spacemen 3,
sigur ros, gybe). It just gets better after every listen.
You'd be a fool not to give it at least one listen. Check
out what allmusic.com has to say if you're interested. A
true gem.

I agree, i think the three albums from "Colour of Spring",
"Spirit of Eden" to "Laughing Stock" show an incredible arc
of development of a band. The last two albums definitely a
huge influence on music afterwards. Nothing can really
prepare you for what is contained on those albums, the
sounds and the silence, i read somewhere once it's like the
sound of a distant storm threatening to break. Definitely
worth tracking down.

I got a Greatest Hits collection the other day, just for
convenience that had some fantastic b-sides I hadn't heard
before. "Have you heard the news", "For what it's worth" and
"John Cope", all bloody marvellous.
