I was 11 when it happened, and... I can't say I remember
hearing about it, or if I did, I didn't care. That's how
clueless I was about music at the time. But I've grown to
love Nirvana, and even though it's vogue to downplay their
signifigance now, and Kurt's talent, they were awesome and
he was a fantastic songwriter.

Putting a shell through his chin... well, I've got no
opinion about that. But he did, so it's none of my business.
I love his music, and I leave it at that.

according to allmusic.com he died on April 5.
I wasn't into Nirvana more than any other band back then,
but I've since then gotten more into them.
Great stuff.

In my timezone it just turned to April 6 and I thought you

the first cd I bought was "nevermind".

I was a HUGE Nirvana fan. I was 16 when he killed himself. I
thought it was sad - it would've been great to see how he
would've developed musically.

shop boys

when you're 16 and you like a band, that's what it feels
like.

well, maybe. it didn't really. I'm just going along in the
sentiment of this thread, really.

and was heartbroken totally... ive since moved on and found
artists i like better, but ill always have a simple little
place in my heart for that man.

he really was somethin.
its a shame what that woman did to him.

"its a shame what that woman did to him."

it was the stomach pains and the need to stay "underground"
that did him in, not courtney

when i heard the news.

I was devastaded tho last year when i got the news of Elliot

a famous conspiracy theorist named oxygenfad told me that
she killed kurt and is keeping all of his unreleased music
secret because she's been ripping off the songs for her own
works for years. it wouldn't suprise me if it were true.

i was doing a report on celebrity influence on social
psychology, i wonder how many people actually killed
themselves after kurt did.

when marylin monroe committed suicide, the national suicide
rate went up 12 percent the following month.

its really shitty though, people let celebrities practically
dictate their lives to them
