this is going to be exciting! I have seen two ENO
installations in the past and if you have the opportunity to
go, check it out!

Quiet Club by Brian Eno in the Galleria is Messe Frankfurt's
contribution to Luminale 2004 (Mar 26, 2004)

Quiet Club by Brian Eno in the Galleria is Messe Frankfurt's
contribution to Luminale 2004
Quiet On: the special live programme
'Quiet Club by Brian Eno' in the Galleria of Frankfurt Fair
and Exhibition Centre, is the contribution of Light+Building
2004 to Luminale. The evening programme with live music and
cocktails underscores the light & sound installation by
English artist Brian Eno. Thus, every evening beginning at 6
p.m. from 18 to 22 April 2004, the Galleria will be the
starting point and extraordinary meeting place for Luminale
visitors.

Brian Eno's installation is clear and reduced. A seating
area is ideal for relaxing while a bar, music and a
kaleidoscope of colours, the reflections of which mark the
dimensions of the interior, supplement the overall
impression. The slow pace and the special way the colours
change are reflected by the acoustic accompaniment. Sounds
pour from several sources, surfaces bubble; they come
together, blend and form emulsions. Harmonies emerge and
take a breath before the next round: a pleasant place to
observe the growing dramaturgy of all events and to take
more notice of sounds than usual. Everything fits
harmoniously under the glass dome of the Galleria. Here, one
can loose the feeling for time and space.

Every evening, the light and sound installation will be
supplemented by presentations given by well-known musicians
or producers, who will interpret and re-mix Eno's music. All
musicians and producers have the special talent of being
able to think themselves into Eno's musical wishes and have
a special feeling for Eno's music. By skilfully re-sampling
Eno's material, adding instruments and sounds, as well as
virtuously mixing all signals, they succeed time and again
in creating a new work.

sepreate sounds that made up a constantly evolving
