if you have microsoft sound recorder records sounds..that is
how i got my start...and if you speed something up say 10x
then slow down 10x you would think the sound would go back
to the original, but it comes up something totally
different...(ahh the good ol days)

protools isn't for newbies... start w/ fruityloops/acid
pro/sonar.. once you've mastered that, jump to reason.. and
then protools.. thats if you can afford protools..

hello !
1 first of all - protools isn`t usefull without the dsp
hardware !!! without other systems are working much better
(logic audio for example) because the protools system is
based on these external dsps
2 if you really want to use protools for recording (only for
this it makes any sense, for midi use it`s not the right
choice) you`ll need a good g4 mac
3 if you will have a very good system under 40.000 DM
(it`s about 7-9000 for the mac and about 30.000 for protools
with dsps I think, maybe more ) I would buy a g4 powermac
and the digi 01 system with protools (but for midi use i
would prefer logic audio or cubase vst) maybe you could
prerecord on logic and use protools le for mastering...
4 BUT FIRST OF ALL !!! MAKE SOME GOOD MUSIC !!!

It`s not the professionell way to produce some bad shit on
expensive equipment in a commercial break-time - (The world
needs no second DJ Bobo)
To produce a good track it takes some time - than u can add
the half of the programming time only for premastering and
recording.sit back and relaxe - listen again - don`t think
about release - the important questions for u to think about
it :- is your music important? - is it something new? - who
would buy it? - who needs ? -what is my goal ?)
Have fun doing some new, interesting music -
good luck
Greetings Josh

yeah .. sure, BUT - while the midi is absolutely crap -
PTFree's not bad (provided one has sufficient ram) for some
audio manipulation. A lot better timestretch/pitch bend than
the likes of cubase!!!

And Protools FREE = FREE!!! limited to 8 audio tracks - plug
ins work for whoever has them ??? But provided one has
enough Ram/Cpu it aint a bad freebee at all!!!

Ofcourse this doesn't = a good tune ... but thats the same
with any software (well, more or less) ?
