This album (originally made / compiled [?] for the Gaspar
Noe's "Irreversible") has some really good tracks.
Many tracks sound different from what they sound like in the
movie, and some tracks aren't even included.
It's a good album anyway, and the score fits the movie very
well.

Tomas Bangalter is 1/2 of Daft Punk and this was his first
score.

It's quite dark overall, with very few 'uplifting' tracks.

btw the movie uses the tracks really well.
The music really fits the video and what is happening,
and is filtered to do exactely that.

Also : This is not the soundtrack for the movie,
atleast not the album I've got.
It's like air releasing the music for "Virgin
Suicides" although other tracks are also included.

So this just features Bangalter's tracks.

The tracks that are left out are also good, but I guess the
album becomes more of a unit, when all tracks have a smilar
sound / idea n stuff.

ah... yeah
I really enjoy the soundtrack.
If you want more music by Baltanger check out Daft Punk, or
stuff from his own label.

i quite liked the first album, but discovery isn't really my

bangalter is daft punk. hmm, maybe i'll dig the cd out and
give it another listen one of these days :)

yeah...
also I think some of the tracks of the Irreversible-album
have previously been released on vinyl on Roulé (his
label).
Do you have the soundtrack or his album?
I have his album (so no other tracks than his compositions
are featured on the album).

oh, i see...i thought irreversible was the soundtrack :).
yeah, i only have the soundtrack - i think most of the songs
are his except for that bethoveen piece and perhaps some
other...but mostly his stuff. i'll check and get the songs
that are not on the soundtrack...

I wanted the soundtrack! I didn't know it was only his stuff
when I bought it... I like his stuff, but I wanted the other
tracks aswell.
Well well...
