22nd of april Enschede, Atak http://www.atak.nl/page.php?cont=act&actid=114 Breakcore Galore: Venetian Snares, Bong-Ra, Sickboy, Unyx Breakcore Galore deel 3 haalt het beste uit de scene naar Atak. Headliner Venetian Snares zet al een tijdje de podia op zijn kop met compromisloze elektronica en een zeer energieke show. De ster van Bong-Ra is al een tijdje stijgende: Zijn muziek zit meer in de hoek van de snoeiharde drum 'n' bass dan de echte Breakcore. Zeer geschikte muziek om keihard op te gaan. Alsof dat nog niet genoeg is, is onze derde gast Sickboy: de Belgische top in de Breakcore-scene. Unyx tenslotte mag als bekend worden beschouwd bij de vaste Atak-bezoekers. sickboy? please, i akready saw him twice and i know maybe in australia there wasn't a huge fuzz about harcore/gabber, but he's just doin the same thing everybody danced to here 10+ years ago (in a cut-up way...), it's fun okay, but it's nowhere near great for more than 10-15 min... i saw him with shitmat saturday night, no comparisons, same with vsnares he's bloody good, sickboy is just a little bit more of the same IMHO. :D |

next thursday It is al happening in Enschede and I still don't know if I'm going or not; in the first place it's an hour and a half travelling to Enschede, second I've to work that night uptill eight o'clock, third i'm almost out of cash, fourth i have to go alone: nobody wants to go with me, fifth: I've to wait three hours for the first train in the morning to get back home. Actually I've already decided not to go cause of all the reasons above but maybe there's one of you who can change my decision, don't get me wrong: I'm a huge fan of VS, that's for me the only reason for going uptill now. |
