this is a great album - definitely on my short list of favorites from xlt. the recording is very clear and rich-sounding. it's sort of like one long piece with different movements that transition nicely - it's like floating in outer space. it is very cinematic and carefully-constructed. excellent album! now go download it in confidence - it has the r40f seal of approval! |

wow. the production on this is absolutely amazing. I love the ambience you added. It makes it 500X more amazing. if i played this while driving - i think i would end up driving off a cliff with feelings of eternal euphoria. The tracks are short but sweet simply beautiful. GREAT JOB@! |

Well... This is great, i think it is a very well thought out and put together work. The flow just works brilliantly and everything is very subtle. I think i shall be falling asleep to it alot in the coming weeks!!! |

Some info regarding this recording.. The main meat of this was recorded by our friend Jason Herr using nothing more than a simple wave editor, a computer mic, a Yamaha portable keyboard, TV samples, and a guitar. This was recorded while he was away from us living in Lancaster, PA, which is about 45 miles from where we are. Some time after he moved back into the area I guess he decided he wanted to do something with these recordings, and gave them to Tibbar who did an initial edit. Even with an edited arrangement there was still a lot of hiss so we brought it into Cubase where we ended up laying down some of our own parts as well as some basic recording clean-up (which at first is all we were really going to do with it). Anyway I like this thing a lot and look forward to doing more stuff with Jason in the future, especially now that he has a new Mac which ships with Garageband .. which may not be pro but is a step above paste mixing in a wave editor. |
