well, the live instruments are performed by the blue series continuum, which is like the Thirsty Ear label house band. matthew shipp on piano. el-p composed the music and stitched it together from free jazz sessions with the players. i'm sure he added the electronic embellishments but its mostly a composer album. where's jason, he'd love this show.. saul, el-p, can ox! talking in a moment |

tobin will have to wait till next week, already have a longer playlist today than i will have time to finish max, i think it's an excellent record, taking it back to the good old days of the dj/producer & emcee team (gang starr, eric b & rakim, dj jazzy jeff & fresh prince, kool g rap & dj polo). some of the songs are just straight up fun and goofy, others are just straight heat. my favorite is still "all caps" but today i am playing the quasimoto feature "shadows of tomorrow" IF i have time for it (hope so). |
