Speeka Cable

OK, I had to buy new cable for my speakers today. Given
that I needed 20m of cable, I could have spent £10 on posh
cable at £5/m (which seemed a bit excessive. I took the
cheap option at £1.50/m

Is there a big difference? Would my records really sound
better for spending the extra £65?

I'd be really interested to hear any exciting speeker cable
stories you guys have.

No...not unless you are an anally retentive audiophile.

Given that most people use MP3's more than CD's unless the
quality is noticably wank it makes no real
difference....certainly not worth spending the extra money
for.

im aback, somone walked in...
yeah as ecnadniarb said, cheap calble works just fine, if
youhave super huge/powerful speakers, then you would want to
go the distance and buy better cable so the speakers can "do
their job" better

at home i just have cheap cable hooked up to 4 year old, ok
speakers, nothign special :0(

How do you hook a 4 year old up to speakers? And don't the
child protection agency have something against that sort of
practise?

Well I got a pair of KEF speakers as a freebie. They've got
a nice sound to them however as you say, they're probably
not good enough to warrant spending one hundred british quid
(approx $180US) on.

At any rate, I don't have that sort of money and if I did, I
probably wouldn't spend it on speaker cable...
