i'm not sure.. i just figured trent contacted richard via
friends or agents and requested him to help out on the
project... thats how others got afx to remix songs, just
asked.. and prolly paid good. :)

ive read richard in interviews comment on this.....

richard has a lot of respect for trent and the feeling is
mutual... they had been in contact a while before the
collaborations came about so i've read.

yeah.

They are the same damn person.... Aphex is Trent's qwirky
independant side, while NIN is Richard's evil commercial
side, hair dyed goth black. Why do you think that Trent's
Nothing label put out Squarepusher in the USA? Did you not
notice that both NIN's The fragile and Aphex Twin's Drukqs
were both 100 minute long double CDs, and that both CDs
contain mediocre stuff, with the tracks held back? How
could this be a coincedence?
Richard/ Trent also did some of the electronics for the
Gorillaz release, but was uncredited, he is the fourth
member.

Seriously thou... i doubt Richard listens to much if at all
to NIN music... i think that Trent offered up a shitload of
cash, and Richard was at an amiable stage, and sold him a
couple of tracks. At the heart of it alls sounds inpired by
the heart beating at the start of the video, at least to me.
The other track probably has nothing to do with NIN,
Richard just sold it to him for the cash, so it was not
featured much on the record.
