Your first album you bought

Quoth from Lincoln on 2001-12-21 22:52 [#00063298]

Led Zeppelin - [untitled] Zoso

What can I say? One of the coolest albums ever... My first
album I loved right off the start! And a great one at that.

The Chemical Brothers's Dig Your Own Hole is one of my
favourite albums. I know there are better but it was one
first albums I bought (previously listened to areosmith etc)
that I have never gone off. I remember when I was younger
(well, a bit), being so amazed by Private Psychadelic Reel,
not having heard ANYTHING like it in my life. A friend
played me the album on a school trip on the coach and I just
had to have it.

Ahh, fond memories, that was probably a big turning point in
my life.

Jamiroquai; Travelling without moving

But my parents violently played david bowie to me when i was
a child, so i guess i was fucked up from the beginning. Got
this at about hmmm... wery long time ago. Then the prodigy.
then chemical brothers, then saw come to daddy on tv, then
years later bought classics, and today i own 17 aphex twin
albums :)

B3n from Sheffield on 2001-12-22 11:36 [#00063504]

Was watching For Your Eyes Only on UKPlay today anfd the
lead singer from feeder picked Windowlicker as one of his
favourites. I've never seen Aphex on tv so that was cool,
but they cut it off after about 30 secs =(

E-man from Noitac ol' on 2001-12-22 11:53 [#00063506]

I think it was Jean-michel jarre's 'Chronology' or
2Unlimited 'the real thing'.
I loved both of them at that time, now i think 2U is crap
and j-m-j has some good songs... some

After hearing my fathers vinyl copy of
"Umma Gumma", I was driven to purchase as much of the 1960s
Pink Floyd as possible .
"The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" being my first album has
been my favorite ever since.
"Barrett" and "The Madcap Laughs" are my second favorites.
"Opal" has its gems as well.
