...the similarities between the background music on
Boards of Canada's site and The Sabres of Paradise track "Duke
of Earlsfield (LFO Mix)". The latter sounds like it uses a
pitched up version of the BoC music with the gaps removed
and with less delay/reverb on it. I don't actually think one
samples the other, just that they sound similar.

You can listen to the SOP track on Bleep.com BTW.

Erm, sorry, the SOP track I meant was "Bubble and Slide
(N.O.W. Mix)."

Talking about old releases, I nearly bought a couple of
N.O.W tracks off Biofeedback by N.O.W. on Bleep the other
day. It was only at the last minute that I realised I had
all the tracks on Word of Science. I feel I've overlooked
that album in the past and I'm really enjoying it at the
moment.

The first Sabres record was one of the first ever
'techno/electronic' records I ever listened to. I can
remember thinking it was very harsh to my ears. Don't think
Andy Wetherall has really done much of note for a long time
now. Most of what he does even old Sabres is ok but don't
really think it stands out massively.

I managed to get hold of Wilmots last skank by SOP, a few
weeks ago, after lots of searching. Does anyone know who
they sampled the brass riff from?
