I like plants. How about you?

I bought tons of plants when I first bought my house
because they are really cheap decoration. My thinking was
that about half of them would have the courtesy to die
leaving me with a manageable ecosphere. 4 years later and
all I do i water and fertilize and the fuckers just grow and
grow. I can hardly see out my windows anymore...

complicated.

I've got some bamboo growing from a pot that looks like
three koi in a circle with bamboo shooting from their shared
mouth, which is filled with smooth rocks. I have plant. I'm
relative.

that wouldn't surprise me at all...it's wonder they lasted
for two months infact

Watering is the key-too much kills faster than too little-
though you'd have to be semi-retarded to not be able to grow
bamboo
like so

the lazy link was a fine addition...

It's grown, I'm not semi-retarded!

plants are great, however im unable to keep them alive for
more than 6 months, no matter how much/little i feed/water
them or where i place them, sooner or later they die.

do plants have feelings ?

I have no friggin' idea what my plants are either, so when
someone has the audacity to ask I have to lie- "Well that
is a Sumatran Ivy-fern found only on the eastern slopes of
Kilamanjaro. They favor the lee side of volcanic rock
out-croppings so you have to provide sunlight filtered
through your grandmother's lacy underpants"
or something.

No, but they are capable of inspiring guilt better than a
jewish grandmother.

Dogs are smarter than horses. Plants are much too aloof to
judge their intelligence.

i saw a bbc documentary on supernatural powers of animals
and plants and they said that gently touching a plant and
whispering sweet little words to it will stimulate growth.

and if it's from bbc, it's true.

i'm off to the garden center. no joke.

I honestly can't be bothered keeping plants alive. A friend
of mine has a shed full of what his parents think are chives
though. Clue: they're not.

I love them, I'm too lazy to keep them around or take care
of them though. But I like it when people have palm trees in
the middle of their living rooms.

plants are inbetween dogs and horses in terms of
intelligence. (horses don't like tear gas, though!!)
