Brian Molko

Fernz on 2001-12-20 14:42 [#00062799]

Not many of you will really give a shit but to those who
know...

I recently heard Brian Molko is in hospital dying of AIDS.
Like he's supposed to be in pretty bad shape. Could anyone
tell me if this is really true?

borix on 2001-12-20 14:59 [#00062801]

Sorry, but with the most respect who is Brian Molko? I just
don't know him.

phiz from Amsterdam on 2001-12-20 15:00 [#00062802]

sad to hear,
but i can't stand the whining little tit.

wizards teeth on 2001-12-20 15:19 [#00062803]

placebo frontman.

i hope he gets better, is it possible to live for a long
time with the aids virus + medicines

borix on 2001-12-20 15:50 [#00062814]

Ok, so I do know him. Kinda like Placebo so hope it is not
true. Saw him 4 months ago on the Lowlands festival and he
was doing fine. So ?

Narkotic from Orange County, California, USA on 2001-12-20 16:28 [#00062819]

he wears too much makeup

Rob.E. from London on 2001-12-20 16:34 [#00062822]

It's just a rumour to boost bad record sales. }:>

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-12-20 17:16 [#00062834]

Placebo huh? That song Pure Morning was pretty alright... I
liked the one Slave to the Wage as well...

New Placebo album "Meds" out today is brilliant, played it
about 5 times already.

I still think their first album is great, nasal whinging and
all. From then on... well, less great. A lot less.

And thus the release of a new album doth deliver Molko from
AIDS

I loved the 2nd album when I was younger.

They clearly lost it when they got in the rapper for the
next one though. Genius :)

even that album had some okay songs.. the fourth one was
just ridiculous.. Placebo being a Placebo-clone.

Uh... whats up with the first several posts in this thread?
Is that a Placebo street team bomb or something? Kinda
whack to say he is dying the day the new album comes out.
If that was the case, why do they have a show scheduled for
TONIGHT? (and throughout June)

lol i take it he wasnt dying of aids then, just saw him in
top of the pops. unless that was his ghost. which would
explain the ghoulish expression on his face.

MTV2 had a special on Placebo on last night where they
showed a lot of the videos. It was good and reminded me how
much I like them (only got/heard the first 2 albums).

i think it's one of the best live bands, i guess because
that music just works live

totally wrong dude they just keep getting better, first
album is the worst, the last two have been fantastic, easily
the best sonically and atmospherically, Without You is the
most consistent though.

guess.

oh, billy corgan sounds much better to me. he whispers,
screams, i like his broken voice. molko seems to sound all
the same in all the songs i've heard [on the radio].

so, in short:

billy corgan > brian molko

however, because Faith No More are so great in my book :

mike patton > billy corgan > brian molko

[in the category: best rock band vocal]

i agree. Molko must be agreed, too.
i meant the bald head copyright. and it was a rhetoric and
joke and stuff.
