Surfing on Sine Waves

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-12-20 04:26 [#00062699]

What do you people think... I've been trying for the life of
me to really get into it, and I think I might be making a
little progress, but it still doesn't seen that good...

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2001-12-20 04:28 [#00062700]

It's NOT that good, obviously. But I like it. It's early,
so... it's embryonic RDJ...

no, but I mean lots of people say it is awesome...

Really?

Hmm... Didn't know...

It has some good stuff... actually, I haven't listened to it
too much, but I like the ''old school=ness'' of it!

I love the track Polygon Window, track two is cool, If It
Really is Me is nice... track 7 is awesome!!! Track 8 and 9
I like a lot... Hmmm, maybe I do like it... I don't know...
:)

DubleOSyx from The East on 2001-12-20 04:36 [#00062704]

It's more for a calm mood I think...Well most of it
is...yeah

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-12-20 04:39 [#00062705]

see, I've read that a lot... but it seems more dancy then
anything else I've heard by him... definately not calm
sounding to me anyways, with the exception of track 7 maybe,
and the last one... and track 4...

DubleOSyx from The East on 2001-12-20 04:45 [#00062708]

Then you might like it more if you try dancing to it...

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-12-20 04:46 [#00062710]

heh, maybe I will try that...

DubleOSyx from The East on 2001-12-20 04:53 [#00062718]

There's nothing good ecstasy can't do to help you dance.
Just pop a few and you jst can't help but dance. It might
even work for something like Industro Garbage beats, or
maybe it's the garage one...who knows...

polygon window surfing.. was the first electronic album that
I got into. before that I was familar with the term techno
but nothing that I'd heard was sounding interesting.
anyway I remember taking it home and listening to it on
headphones really soaking it in. I don't think that richard
was intending to cover as much ground with surfing as he did
maybe on rdj or saw 2 but imo it is pure bliss. the tracks
flow together so well and the length of the album seems
perfect. I feel the same way about ae's amber which was the
2nd idm record I got my hands on. it may not be their most
technical or complicated record but it succeeds perfectly
for what it is.

Surfing on sine waves is one of my favs afx album, it's
awesome.
Track1 and Track7 are masterpieces and all the other songs
are greats.
I love the first analogic afx style, "Surfing on sine waves"
remember to me the SAW (85-92)' style.

WooÆ’er
