hmm, this is most definitely a work in progress. I was
looking for feedback. Basically it is a newish style track
for me...and I was wondering whether people thought I was
using good sounds and stuff. I am not going to leave this
up long so I would appreciate any advise :D

ep2-04

Pretty experimental sounding. The sounds are ok, some good
textures in there. Theres a lot of open space to add stuff
so that may be something to look at.

I like it again! I can't be taken seriously from
now....your appeal is too consistant.

Cheers everyone.

tolst: I don't intend for it to sound dark. It's just the
way my brain likes stuff :P

weathered: I want to keep this one cleaner than my other
stuff because I think I go OTT most of the time. But
obviously there will be some development.

Jivver: I don't have a fucking clue what that meant kiddo
:D

haha I am flattered. I still don't think I have the quality
of stuff yet to release. And I won't post full tracks until
I am totally happy with them.

bretschnider - both among my favourite artists

this has some interesting sounds. the melody isn't too stand
out to me, but it seems like it could be part of some nice,
more-thickly layered melody, like what is being hinted to at
the end of this portion of the track.
the rhythmic sounds are my favourite part. the combinations
of the grate/scrape/explosion-like sounds vaguely remind me
of something that i can't quite put my finger on.
i enjoy the way the beat sounds like it is faltering, but
still seems to stay in time with itself and the backing
sounds.
this should be much longer. it sounds like it is about to go
into the best part of the song, but hopefully you will
successfully finish this song and post the rest for us all
to hear.

It's comments like these that make it all worthwhile. :D

Q4Z2X, at the moment it sounds like three quarters of a
track packed into less than two minutes. I have a few
tracks that I am continuing to work on and I will definately
post them when I like them enough to call them finished

ep2-04... really nice melody... i like how sparse this track
is at parts...
scousecorev2- again, very nice underlying melody... i'm not
sure what i'd do with the beats, but they don't quite
compell... perhaps there's too much going on... i'm not
really sure... but i like when the melody finally has
breathing room at the end (and it is definitely necessary to
suffocate it before that in order to achieve that
effect...)
deadofnight- nice bass tones, interesting ambience... i'd
say, in general, that (for the sake of giving constructive
criticism which you are free to ignore) you might want to
work with sound of the sound sound textures a bit more...
there are times when to interacting sounds don't quite seem
to fit together sonically... maybe it's just cause i'm only
hearing this for the first time... but in general, all three
tracks are pretty nice, and have some great ideas...

I liked this track, it is very different from your normal
style and I think you should continue with it. I'm not sure
what emotions/feelings/theme you are pursuing with it as the
name is not much help. Wherever you take it though, I
support you 100%!

Let us know when it is finished. Cheers.

good work more technical then anything which made it
slightly sterile but that may be what you wanted :)

btw what does this mean

if(nobsmuggler->text == "bump this later") {
nobsmuggler->points ++;
}

is it scouse??

I really like most of the tracks I have heard from you but
there are two points I would like to make:

i) The percussionial part of scousecorev2 is a bit
inconsistent at least from where I'm standing. The
rhythmical patterns you use have depth and detail but you
use too many sounds. In result it sounds a bit more
disorganised and random than I would want it to be.

ii)Generally although I like the minimalism of your
melodies, I really believe they would benefit from a bit of
textural complexity. They sound a tad too dry.

Anyhow keep it up.
