What is it?? Club MICROWAVE is the latest lo-fi dance
innovation from the good folks over at micromusic.net.
Microwave is the 1st club in the U.S. that caters to the
chiptune or micromusic scene. Now, for the 1st time in the
nation, people will be able to come and dance to all their
favorite micro-hits!

Our DJ's Love to Spin:

micromusic / lo-fi, IDM, Elektro-Clash, 80s, Electronica,
Breaks & more

In addition, we'll also have the seemingly endless roster of
micro-artists from around the globe attending Microwave to
deliver the goods in the flesh! That's right, every
Microwave will feature special live musical performances at
midnight by micro-artists from all over the globe!

Q: What is "micromusic.net"?
A: Micromusic.net is an international hub for people that
love and/or make videogame style music. To get a better
sense of the type of sound this genre has, try to remember
what your favorite classic videogame sounded like, but add a
healthy dose of modern melodies and beats. Some common
devices used to make micromusic, or chiptunes, are
Nintendo's GameBoy, Commodore 64 and/or Amiga computers,
assorted Atari computers and/or consoles, and any or all
classic 8 bit computers and consoles."

For those of you who don't know, artists such as DMX Krew,
Cylob, and Lektrogirl have contributed tracks to the
micromusic community!

check out clubmicrowave.com for full upcoming lineups, and
up to date info!

I like chip/micromusic ...
but due to my (geographical) distance to the place,
I won't make it =/

But I do like the thought of going to such a club.

there won't be a club like it! Plus, this grand opening is
not to be missed.....if you haven't heard Bitshifter's
music, you have missed out! Come see his first west coast
