By greatest do you mean best, or do you mean most popular.
If you mean the best, then I think The_Funkmaster's answer
might change quite a bit.

Canada's is Venetian Snares, even someone who dislikes his
music will agree there.

offline kc from Vancouver (Canada) on 2004-03-06 19:54 [#01101954]

The name doesn't match the music at all. He's a folk singer
really, related quite often to David Bowie.

Despite the page saying NIKAKOI means nobody, it really
means

1) very drunk
2) very tired, can be bothered or interested by nothing
3) not having any features, good or bad
3) bad

well, though he is definitely not a shanson artist, and
that's VERY progressive:)

you know...im not from tokyo really...it says so in my
description too, but somehow people read it wrong. i wish i

as for random logic - yes, they could be described as idm

yeah, snares is definatly from canada; i wasn't arguing that
point, more along the lines that with-out skinny puppy's
contribution to the music scene as a whole, snares woudn't
be around. Well, snares as we know it.

honestly, the most played finnish music abroad is SIBELIUS,
there was a study a while ago. after sibelius there was the
rasmus and darude. but sibelius dominates the list. hooray!

if youre from dublin, youve also got the boomtown rats, the
dubliners and (although they formed in london) shane
macgowan + the pogues.
i'm sure are there are more..

i seem to remember seeing a book entitled "rock+stroll" in
the tourist info centre.. a pubcrawl/tour of the town
stopping at places which mark musical events/history..didnt
do it, but i walked past a couple of spots. somewhere in
temple bar i spotted a sign in an alleyway mentionning phil
lynott from thin lizzy.. not sure what was meant to have
happened there.
he probably had a piss there one night during a weekend
binge..

not that it improves it much.

never mind.
we can't hold you personally responsible.
