What in the hell is up with this game???
too difficult!

me and my friends are on chapter 7, fighting that holy bitch
in the chapel with only two elixers of spiritual life, and a
crap ass selection of ninpo..

dude i'm on chapter 7 now. if that's the one where you have
to fucking jump across those ledges with the spiked maces
swinging while those huge fucking zombies nail you with
arrows.

this game IS difficult as fuck, but i love it that way. i'm
gonna get so much play time out of it. last game i bought
was sonic heroes and i essentially beat it in 2 days. i've
been playing gaiden since it came out tuesday.

i wish there was a way to lock the camera on an enemy a la
zelda, cuz the camera is shit

the camera is easy to use once you get used to it. the
trick is just tapping the button often not holding it.

and gwely, i think i'm good. i have 9 spirit elixirs and 5
great spirit elixers. and one of each of the devil ones.
i'm at the part where i just beat the tentacle boss AGAIN
and flipped up to the other side of the bridge and saved.
then i had to unfortunately leave my house to go be
social and get fucked up. never again will i let real
people come between me and my video games. :D

I'm a little past the halfway point... the game IS very
difficult. But it's not impossible... I bet if I went back,
I'd have no problem with the bosses I've had trouble with...
particularly Alma and the horseman on the bridge. This game
really forces you to improve your skills and work hard.

Fucking hardcore game, it's old school and a lot of people
that are used to be led through adventures with their hands
held in Zelda and the rest are going to get fucked up
reeeeal quick. Still, it's NOT as hard as Ninja Gaiden 3!

Like Itagaki said, the enemies are there to kill you, not to
be killed, like most games.

It's way too hard to unlock the NES Ninja Gaidens, though.
50 Scarabs, Master Ninja for every level on Normal, and
Master Ninja for every level on Hard... I'll never be able
to do it.

The camera is the weak spot in this game. Pressing R becomes
second nature, but the camera still trails WAY too far
behind Ryu when you're running around exploring... you can't
tell how close you are to a ledge, or what's around a
corner. You have to go into 1st person to get your bearings,
and that sucks.

ok now i'm at a warehouse in the military base (chap 9).
it's got some tricky platforming. i activated ONE moving
platform, not the second. i really can't figure it out.
where is the switch for the second platform? i was doing so
great today, beat 2 chapters (and i found alma to be easy, i
only died there twice as opposed to the 15 times i died at
every other boss) D:

well. i don't know if any of you remember...but the original
ninja gaiden series was damn near impossible itself. one and
two are probably two of my favourite games of all time
(never got too into the third for whatever reason. it's
alright, though). they make you want to tear your hair out,
vomit all over it and eat it covered in tartar sauce. but i
love them. love them. and actually, i recently came
to ask myself how i ever beat ninja gaiden 1, because i was
playing on an emulator f-ing saved right before
whats-his-face (the nd guy, your mutated father), and i
couldn't beat it for the life of me. impossible. absolutely
impossible.

anyways, this game looks super and i can't wait to play it.
it's sitting on my bed right now keeping it warm for me. i'm
too involved in FFXI at the moment. heh.

on a side note...TENCHU COMES OUT (today, is it?)!!!!!

and i've been looking forward to that for awhile (no ps2).

ambsace, play NG and get to the warehouse in chapter 9 and
tell me how to beat it plz. D:

the game's so new that there's no online walkthroughs for
it.

so far i've gotten 4 or 5 lives of the thousand gods, and 8
life of gods. my health is pretty damn huge.

alright. i just beat chapter 9, and you guys have alot to
look forward to.

first off, at least half the enemies in the level have
rocket launchers that kill 1/3 of your health.

THEN, you fight 4 boss battles in a row. 2 tanks, 1
helicopter, and a part where you shoot the dishes off a
radio tower FILLED WITH ENEMIES WITH ROCKET LAUNCHERS. i
had 10 regular elixirs and 5 great elixirs before facing the
first tank, and by the end of the level i had used every
item i had. what a fucking bitch of a level. hard as shit,
but i beat it though. ^_^

i've said it a million times, but this game is amazing.

Fucking hardcore game. That whole supply base scenario was
awesome, non-stop madness.

I'm in the aquaducts right now, and there's two eel bosses,
and a final boss that's kicked my ninja-crap straight outta
me 5 straight times. I had to quit for today.

I can seriously only physically and psychologically handle 2
or 3 chapters a day.

after upgrading the sword it gets a lot easier, and if you
get good at wall attacks you can kick ass, i love this game

i'm all about the decapitations

offline kochlear from aud-stim.com on 2004-03-07 21:29 [#01102953]

the supply base was the sweetest thing ever.

ah the fucking two eel-worm bosses kicked my ass on multiple
occasions. you have to go up to the top of the level and
keep killing those things and buying shit. also at that
point you should have more than 20 scarabs, and get the
Diablahro, which decapitates everything.

for the end boss of that level i had 4 nimpho slots and 3
great devil elixirs. since i had spent 3 hours on the level
already i just kept hitting him with them and beat him
quickly.

the part i'm at i just beat doku and have to figure out some
puzzle with hitting switches and moving platforms.

i think i'm done for the day. 3 chapters took a whole 8
hours (including death time).

I finally beat it. 20 hour save, a very generous length for
a game like this.

The fight in the Fiend Realm against that goat devil guy was
the most intense video gaming experience I've had... because
getting to him is GRUELING, and I didn't have a lot of
healing items when I got to him. I really didn't want to
lose and go back all that way. I puled out all the stops,
fought him standing up, and beat him with, at most, enough
health left for one more fireball.

Awesome game, one of the best I've played. Now I'm going to
unlock the three Ninja Gaidens.

DAMN! i'm stuck at the fucking dragon in the caverns. i've
been there for about 5 days.

D:

i hear the game gets even more insanely hard then.

i stopped playing for awhile and started up again.
im on stage 13.

and yeah that dragon was a bitch, but what really got to me
was those two worms in stage 10

i highly enjoyed this game when my friend rented it - makes
me wish i had an xbox. the game IS difficult, but as ophecks
said, not impossible. It's simply a game that makes you be
the best at it - you have to be in order to succeed. There
aren't enough games like this these days.

agreed. this game had a perfect challange, it wasnt
impossible, but it did require your fullest attention and
talent to win.
most games these days are dead simple or improbably which
pisses a hardcore gamer like me off.

man, that fat sword you get, the diahbolo or something is
ACE. i suped it up to level 3 and went on a killing frenzy
in the sewers.

good times had by all, eat snacky smores

challenging beyond... almost all challenges. the online
component for it had news of them releasing a download for
yet an even harder difficulty setting in order to weed out
those who couldn't step up to the insanity.

mm ninja gaiden two was amazing.

try gamefaqs.com , it is the best site for online guides
and all that , very good indeed .

its hard but in comparison to old school stuff its about the
same really , all these new gamers who came in on the psone
really do not know what a "hard " game is. contra was hell
.... in a good way.

Yeah. The kids today are not used to games like this.

The only discernable flaw in the game, for me, was the
camera. It was a pain during platforming sequences, and
bosses. But apparently they have a downloadable fix for it
on Xbox Live now. I might get it and give the game another
go... on VERY HARD.

The game isn't too tough after you've beaten it... it's
truly a game that requires skill, and if you want to beat
it, you WILL be damn skilled by the end.
