Hey... if yr in London & around this coming wednesday, check this out... it should be a good night. d. Monthly new music and art event. This month featuring live performances from Dale Berning and Patten. Dale Berning is a sound artist based in London whose will be presenting a live performance of her latest pieces phasmes and tslilut (soundscapes, building stretches of layered and fragmented noise, meshing arhythmic and random percussive sounds with harmonic and melodic elements), using six cd players, self-produced dubplates and kalimba, with live video mixing from Jack Southern. Patten performs with a collection of instruments (including electric guitar, glockenspiel, zither, melodica) and various everyday objects (crisp packets, bouncy balls, wind-up toys...), which are sampled and manipulated live to create dense, shuffling melodic soundscapes. Also, short screenings of film, video and audio-visual works & eclectic DJ sets from Rossique and Rtype.
