o9 home

i just noticed jesse has a ton of mp3's hosted at his site.
many tracks are pretty old, but there's some good stuff.

this album has been delayed since last fall, i'd say it's
one of the most anticipated releases of the last few years.

this is out now...do yourself a favor and check out
"terminal red" from the new album. it's a monster track, i
would say it sounds like something that afx might have
evolved into, but doesn't sound like an afx clone. very
aggressive, but laid back at the same time.

haven't had a chance to really check out the rest of the
album.

btw, the mp3's at jesse's site vary in style, lots of it is
aggressive noise...

Which mp3's should I download? (not an aggressive noise fan)

only thing I can remember about o9 is how he used to be a
total shit on the Planet Mu forum.

I think he even got banned from there.

yeah, jesse (o9 is jesse legg) can be very obnoxious and
inarticulate and provocative. i read his posts at the µ
forum and while he made an ass of himself there were some
unfair accusations of racism, sexism etc leveled at him.

from his site, check his remix of cyne, and the motion
album. i don't think what's posted there represents his
best work, though, and it can be unpredictable (ambient,
minimal acid, idm, distorted noisy stuff). his tracks on
two schematic comps were excellent, as was his 7" on planet
µ.

see discogs.com for more detail, if you're interested.

i always thought his posts on µ were pretty funny, he would
come on and post fucked out of his mind it seemed
