I heard about this a while ago when it was invented. You can send sound in a beam kinda so it can hardly be heard outside the narrow trajectory. What the laser did for light, except this is for sound. |

This is something that I heard about awhile back as a possible weapon for police to use on rioting protestors. The upside is that it is a soft weapon because sound doesn't do any real damage to the body. The downside is that the previous sentence is pretty much bullshit, it could potentially cause severe hearing damage. |

they had one of those at an art/music thing I went to in Paris a bit back, it was a high frequency that occured as you were two metres from the door. It was funny watching people queue through it! |
