I've been in it for...ever since i can remember. I
hate my coach, I hate the place, and mostly I hate
gymnastics. I've been sticking with it for a few years now,
basically because my friends are there and its the only time
i really get to see them.
Today I went to gymnastics like usual and my friend
told me about how John (a parent that organizes meets) had
told my coach that I had been lieing to both him and
himself. So to make an incredibly long story short, I had
not been lieing or being deceitful in any way. However I
was very trapped by the whole situation. So I left.
This probably doesn't make any sense, sorry. I just
needed to tell anyone/everyone.

so how do you vent out your frustrations? do you like punch
a pillow or do a double backflip?

actually i've been having dreams where i kill my coach over
and over. That helps. But right now I'm venting by writing
about it (in journal and here).

i find it helps to actually kill. but i wouldn't recommend
that. as a matter of fact - forget i said anything.

i dont know whether to congratulate you or comiserate you
for having stuck it out htis long but if leaving was the
best decision for you to make (even if it happened under
less than perfect ircumstances) i just hope you still get to
see you friends regularly.

congratulate me. horrible circumstances (not an angsty blow
out though, thankfully). The decision to leave was only
slightly less hard to make than the decision to kill ones
self. It was tough, and its not over; I still have to talk
to my coach one last time.

most high school programs, like Thespians or sports programs
really tend to conform and mold people to become pegs in a
specific group. However, what really matters is whether or
not you are happy with your decision. If you left, it only
means that now you can focus on things more important to
you. Good luck.

thanks. I hope I can finally concentrate on somethin I
actually want to do now.
High school programs do suck, this however wasn't one.
