I think "shrink" is the album just before "neon golden", but I'm not sure.
anyways, it's even better than "neon golden" I think. it treats electronica as a real instrument, just like on NG (not just as a nice little extra), but slightly more melancholic.
a great album, been listening to it straight for a month now..

also, i wonder how to pronounce that. "no twist", "knot twist", "knot wist"? something else entirely?

I pronounce it as "the no twist", but I could very well be very wrong.
if you'd like to start, choose whether you'd like a more summer-y or winter-y album - "neon golden" being the first, "shrink" the second. both are really good anyway.
their older stuff is more straight-forward guitar-stuff, almost metal even.

i doubt i'd be into that. i'd like the electronica stuff more, so i'll go with shrink (i prefer winter over summer anyway)

good choice! give it some room to grow, it'll take some time (probably).
I don't like their older stuff. it is good fun to have a listen after you're well aquainted with the elecronica-stuff..
