music, visual arts (painting, video-art, photograpy,
internet-art?, etc.), architecture, literature, popular
literature (choose: comics, non-fiction, etc.) plays, dance,
movies, fashion, design, indoor architecture, television, or
something else?

From your list it would be music followed by visual
arts...nothing else comes close for me personally.

ah, but you may add..
how could i forget martial arts.. i just got my first grade
in wing tjung kung fu saturday :)
it certainly isnt dancing, though it looks like it
anybody ever saw a butoh performance? that's japanese modern
dance, it's pretty screwed up, and great. actually anybody
that likes tool should see it, and everybody else.

for me it is: music no doubt first place, than movies, than
literature, than maybe non-fiction since im trying to read
about religion and stuff now, than television, than visual
arts and architecture, than dance, than something else.

with television you may choose: comedies, cartoons,
documentairy etc. i like cartoons

also, the world around me is also nice visually... but i
don't know if either really clasifies as art, if it was not
really intended to be..
earrrhh.. who knows.

less fav:
electronic, classic, rock (metal whatever), popular (just
out of general society interest), hiphop

electronic from fav to less fav:
idm (aphex twin to orbital), dance (underworld, chem bros fo
instance), industrial, sound experiments (the harder aphex
and ae for instance, havent got much more), electro (trans
am, uhm), 80's (i have one michael jackson album)

classic: 20th century (minimal, ligeti, webern, stravinsky,
cage, ), 19th, 16th, 18th, 17th

rock: metal (tool, deftones, meshuggah, frederick
thornendahl), industrial (nin, ministry), alternative,

popular: the worse the better (britney, other shite)

hip hop: wu tang clan?, autechre

here's something to think about:

can art be nature, creatures, the earth, the elements, or
anything else created without the intention of being art?

does something need to be called "art" by the creator of it
to be classified as art?

so does that mean, if there is a god/all knowing being that
created everything, or the groundwork for everything to
evolve into what it is now, and (s)he/it did the creation
through artistic inspiration ..would that mean that us, and
everything else is actually art? (hell, it must be, take a
look at everything)

we create to understand creation of everything around us

this is silly.

it changes constantly. all are very different and yet have a
lot of connections - it is too weird to try to order them.

endless lists, endless. one of these days the universe will
burst because of all the lists made.

on your first question - no. it has to have been
made/compiled/composed by humans for it to be called art.

"art" created by nature already has a name - nature.

Music and video games are more or less tied. After that,
it's a big dropoff, those are my biggest passions. Never
cared as much for movies as most people do, I only watch
them when I'm really bored.

im saying, i dont have a favorite art form because some art
is really good from all different art forms and i cant just
generalise one specific artform as being my favorite.

i think that's what mondriaan meant with 'art must be
forgotten, beauty must be realised': drop the idea of art
and just make or enjoy beautiful stuff

so did you mean with specific kind of art the sort of art:
film must be forgotten paintings need to be kept for
instance. or did you mean some works of art are crap and
need to be forgotten (in which case: lol)

also:
i forgot body arts: painting, tattoo's, piercings,
scarifications, auto mutulations
all not very fav with me
