Since there are people with a lot of cd's here, does anyone have some tips about this? It's very hard to find big cd shelves. I'm talking 500+ here. Any recommendations?

i've bought several cd-holder-thingies at Clas Ohlsson. They have these cheap ones which can be attached to each other if you have more than one.
Ikea has some floor-to-ceiling ones, but you'll still need a few to hold 500 cds.

I got one of those. Takes 350 or so. But I want one where the cds are easy to move, so I can have them alphabetically without to much irritation

then, a normal shelf where it is possible to adjust the space between each shelf to be the height of a CD would be a good option.
My father has.. between 3 - 5000 cds, and he uses a normal bookshelf (plus a few crates in the basement).

I have a wooden 1000-cd capacity type situation with easily ajustable shelves. I ordered it from bmg music service before I cancelled my membersip. it was $200 with shipping.

yeah, who is? but by giving it a try, you'll take your first step in the direction of handyman-dom... plus you'll get a felling of achievement every time you look at it... unless of course, you're like me, and can't help noticing the disgusting flaw that you didn't take the time to correct... :P

I just bought a bunch of towers. There's not enough floor space for my CDs, but building them up up up saves lots of space.
