so yeah... i'm trying to commence the activity of creating my own music... school is finally dying down enough for me to have some time to work at it... basically, for now i'm interested in just doing soundcollage ambient type stuff... i've been doing field recordings with my minidisc player, and i'll probably start taking samples from all these old 45s i have in a plastic bag in front of me... as i mentioned earlier, i don't think my nero wave editor can evin mix two files simultaneously, which is worthless as fuck... so i'm probably going to have to grab some software... what do you suggest? i'm probably just looking for some kind of wave editor... but i might be interested in something that has a fair amount of filters through which i can run my sound sources... would some sort of vocoding software be of any use? i'm sorry if i sound like an idiot... i'm really not too literate in this area at this point, and would appreciate any advice, as to how to get the ideas in my head out into the world... |

Yeah, or sonic foundry acid, if your looking for something just for wave editing and filters and such, I use it. Ive ran a keyboard and guitar and alot of effects pedals all into my sound card and just layered them all.. |
