I love this song! so innovative and dreamy.

this and vi scose poise song are usually the only tracks i
listen to on confield.

that goes for all of the autechre albums. i only enjoy a
couple of song from each release.

I bought my first autechre stuff about 3 months ago, Gantz
Graf CD/DVD and lp5

i LOVE this stuff....lp5 especially reminds me of the film
Tron - the sounds are a bit similar, and there's a track on
there that i'm positive has a little bit of inspiration from
Jean Michel Jarre (i think so anyways)

i really wanna get more autechre, and i will as soon as i
can afford it

you need to try harder, everything on the last to lps is
class
you might want to start trying to wiggle your ears, give
them a good work out, they might be too weak for ae at the
moment

ae is good in some ways and in others its not.
of all the songs i've heard they don't build up to a
release, there's no moment in a song where you go
......ah!!!
they just repeat repeatrepeatrepeatrepeat
and then repeat again, so if you like the sound i spose it's
cool but if not it does your head in.
on the other hand being able to infect your brain with a
sound is something striking in itself

thanks for the advice

how many years do you suppose i'll need listen to ae until i
get into ALL of their stuff (with the ear-wiggle technique
ofcourse) ?

in terms of "annoying grating" music i think they beat even
the most agressive noise just cos you can't escape the
repetition.

someone should quote that stupid eno quote
goes something like
"but he just plays the same thing over and over again"
"good god man, do you listen to keys" or some shit

i've got nothing against repetition. i like one extreme or
the other- highly repetitive with little changes that creep
up..or highly unpredictable with big changes that just
happen with u realising
its the middle bit that's crap; really obvious music that
just comes in chunks

There isn't really great deal of variety in penises. I mean,
it's either a penis or it isn't, right?

you are wrong. there is lot of variety

big penis, small penis, ugly penis, fat penis, drippy penis,
hard penis, soft penis, thin penis, bend-up penis, bend-down
penis etc etc etc

morge you are very wrong, I used to think ae were repetetive
but that was a long time before I got into them. You should
listen more carefully or just give up, because they are
anything but repetetive.
